Cheyenne's Point of View ~ Friday, 9:43am
I'm laying in bed, waiting on Quees to come get me. He promised me that he'd take me out to the mall today, saying that I should be ready by 9am. I sighed, flipping through channels as I checked my phone again to see if he texted me anything about being late. Not one message. I groaned in frustration before continuing to flip through channels but I stopped once I saw a picture of Quees, the kids and LaToya on the celebrity news. I squinted my eyes, listening to the report. Apparently, they went out for dinner earlier this week. Hm, alright. I shook my head, trying not to think too hard about that. I couldn't though.. The reporters kept talking about how they looked like a family and how sad it was since they're divorced. I switched the channel, smirking. That's right, they're divorced.
The door opened, revealing Quees with a sincere look on his face. I shook my head, looking away from him as he started rambling off with an apology. I rolled my eyes, getting up and throwing my purse over my shoulder, "Let's just go." He cupped my face in his hands before kissing my lips. "I'll make it up to you, I promise." I couldn't help but smile and that made him chuckle. He grabbed my hand as we made our way downstairs and out of the house. He opened the passenger door to the Lambo for me before going around to the other side. I buckled up and rested my bag in my lap as he reversed and drove off. I turned up the radio, hearing them talking about Quees and just as they were about to say something, he turned it down. I glanced at him and raised an eyebrow, deciding to ignore it.
"So.." He glanced over at me before looking back at the road, "What?" I crossed my arms, "Why were you late?" I could see the shadow of a smile on his face but then it vanished, "I had some business to take care of." I squinted my eyes, "Business like what?" He groaned in frustration, "Business that doesn't concern you. Business of my own." My jaw dropped, "Quees who do you think you're talking to?" He rolled his eyes, annoyed. I huffed and sat back quietly for the whole drive to the mall. He really has some nerve talking to me like that. I bet he doesn't talk to her like that. I sighed, getting out once he pulled up to the valet and slamming the door. I walked off from him, going inside. I don't take sh-t like that from anybody. I walked straight into the Michael Kors store, looking around for something I liked. I noticed Quees standing by the door, messing with his phone and smiling. I shook my head, finally setting on a bag.
I took it over to the register, standing behind this woman who was buying a watch. Once she was done, I moved up and the worker scanned the tag before giving me the price. She looked up at me with a smile, "That'll be $398." I glanced over at Quees who was still by the door, messing with his phone. "Quees.." He glanced up at me with a dumb look, "I'm not paying for anything since you wanna have an attitude." He looked back down at his phone, embarrassing me in front of all these people. "Quees, seriously.." He didn't pay me any attention as the people on the line and even the cashier laughed. I stomped and screamed through my teeth, "Quees!" The cashier who was trying to muffle her laughter spoke up, "M'am, you're holding up the line." I squinted my eyes at her before abruptly walking out. I sat on a bench outside of the store, embarrassed. I messed with my fingers, feeling Quees sit down next to me, "Look—" I cut him off, "Take me home."
