LaToya's Point of View ~ Saturday, 11:04am
"Alright, folks. We have just recently completed the collaboration album and now onto my own personal workforce. We have 20 tracks to get on the get-go before the end of the year so that gives us 8 months. I know it's a lot of work to do. I've got about 5 music videos to do and tour is coming up in about 2 months so we have to get it all together. If you ain't with it, I'll need you to go through that door right there for me, please and thank you." I said, gesturing towards the door in the far right corner of the room. Everyone in the room let out a slight chuckle that made me smile, they didn't move an inch. "So I see who's with me. Meeting and recording schedules along with rehearsal schedules will be emailed to you by the end of the week. Let's get it.." They all started clapping and that statement marked the end of this meeting.
I stuffed my tablet and my phone into my bag before throwing it over my shoulder and exiting the conference room. I made my way down the hall towards the elevator, meeting up with my security guard, Mike. "What's good?" He smirked and nodded in response as we stepped onto the elevator. I pressed the button with 'L' on it as he handed me a folder. I opened it to see what I really was hoping not to see. Contracts. Excessive reading here I come. I took a deep breath, closing the folder and stepping out ahead of Mike as the doors opened. I made my way across the lobby and out the double doors, seeing the usual paparazzi. I pulled my vintage glasses down over my eyes, sliding into the back of the Escalade before shutting the door myself. I laid down with my head against my bag as the vehicle started moving.
After a few minutes of peace, I felt my phone vibrating in my bag so I pulled it out. I had calls on vibrate so it wouldn't disturb the meeting. I answered without even looking, "Talk to me." I heard shuffling on the other line and the voices of my 3 favorite people, the kids. I knew it was Jacquees who called. "Toya.." I smirked, "Yes, Mr. Broadnax?" He chuckled lightly and the voices of the kids started to fade so I knew he was walking away from them. "I'm really sorry about what happened—" I cut him off because that's done with, "You're forgiven." I guess he was surprised because it took him a while to answer, "Well, do you wanna join the kids and I at the house for lunch?" I smiled a little, knowing that I missed my babies, "I'll be there soon. Thanks for the invite." With that I hung up and my nosey a-s driver, Nicholas, spoke up, "Insisting that I take you somewhere else, Miss Williams?" Snarky n-***. "To the Broadnax household.." I proceeded to call off the address and he smirked, making a swift turn.
I continued laying down until we got to the house. I sat up, grabbing my bag and opening the door for myself, "I'll call you, Nick." He nodded and playfully winked at me as I closed the door. I swear I love having a gay driver. I smiled to myself as he drove off. I noticed the twins riding their bikes down the street and by the speed they were going at, I knew they were racing to see who would get to me first. I swiftly moved out of the way, standing on the sidewalk as they came to a stop. They jumped off of the bikes and tackled me with a hug, "I missed y'all too." I hugged them tight as hell, not wanting to let go. Eventually I did and they pushed their bikes into the garage. Alana pressed a button on the wall, causing the garage door to close as Alisa lead me through the door and into the kitchen. Jacquees was in there and it seemed as if he was trying to cook.
