I don't know if you was confused in the last chapter when Damani was talking to Aria's mother but Aria and Damani don't have the same mom they only have the same dad. And you was also confused when he said "me and Aria's dad" that's because Aria has a different dad then jaelen and Dallas. Jalen and Dallas have the same parents though.

I've been back in New York,well we've been back in New York for three days nowband today will be the day of Damani's party that he doesn't know about.
"Mani come on get up." I shook him to wake him up. Him and Kaycee along with Damia have been staying at my house since we got to New York. It's not permanent just until they can get on their feet and find their own place. "Hmmm." He opened his eyes turning to me. "Get up and get dressed I'll be back in an hour to come and get you." He sat up in bed grabbing Damia, kissing her forehead." Where we going?" "I'm showing you around New York." I stated before kissing Damia's cheek. "I'll be back in a hour be ready."
After walking out the room they was staying in I grabbed my keys heading out the house. Since the party was a surprise I planned on taking Damani out shopping to get him something to wear with out telling him what it's for them coming back home around an hour before the party and having him get ready to go.
After listening to Bryson tiller in the car I made it to the hall that the party was being held at. I met my sisters inside so we could get this party decorated. "So what's not here?" I asked as I watched Dallas blow up balloons. "Well the cake or food isn't here yet or the lights." Jaelen said as she picked up decorations opening them. "I don't really care that the cake and food isn't here because I don't want it here too early but the people who are doing the lights need to be here ASAP like now! It's going to take them more then an hour to make sure the lights are the right colors and working so they can't be coming up in here when it's only two hours left until the party so there for they need to be here now."
"I'll go call them." Dallas got up from her seat walking off somewhere. I sat down where she was blowing up the red and blue balloons and started to do it myself. I stopped blowing once I felt my phone go off.
