Madelyn’s POV
I am the biggest idiot ever! I cannot believe I just told Harry I was staring at him. He probably thinks I’m some creepy stalker. Looking out the window I am startled to see him on the road. Why is he here? I know I said we should study but I am hardly ready yet! Hang on... Oh my God! He is moving in next door! I thought that house would never be sold. It’s a lovely house inside and out but it had been on the market for so long. I put it down to the price; I figured it was too high or something. I pull back the curtain so he can’t see me. The clothes I wore today are fine all I need to do is fix up my hair. For the first time today I actually brush through my hair. It feels nice once I’m finished, soft and smooth.
I jump at the sound of my phone ringing. I sneak a look out the window and see Harry calling someone on his phone.
I answer, “Hello?” I feel butterflies in my stomach, their going mad waiting for him to reply.
“Maddy!” He says, I watch him talk to me from the window in my bedroom. The house is quiet. Mum and Dad must have left already.
“Hey Harry,” Willow said as if she didn’t know who it was.
“About the study thing, can we leave it until about 5pm?” he asked.
“Sure,” I can see him struggling with a box from the back of a large truck, “Do you need any help with that box?”
“Huh?” He says, I see him stop and put down the box. “Maddy, where are you?” He says a little freaked out.
“I am watching you,” I say trying to freak him out.
“Maddy?” He says, I can see him looking around.
“Look up and to your left,” I say and catch his eye.
“Hi there,” He says gazing at me through my window.
“I’ll be down in a second,” I say hanging up and scrambling down the stairs.
“So you are living here, next to me?” I ask knowing the obvious answer is yes.
“Yep,” he says kind of awkwardly.
“That’s awesome,” I say carrying another box inside.
“Crap!” I hear him say and turn to see Ben watching from his basketball hoop.
“Don’t worry about him,” I reassure him. “You’ll be fine.”
“You pair can go and do whatever it is you were gonna do,” Harry’s Dad said. Then I saw his Mother. He hadn’t mentioned her yet and I wandered what she did.
“I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing,” I confessed shoving the book away from me.
“No, no look here,” Harry put his arm around me and drew in my book, “Look you carry the one and...” That’s when I zoned out and was lost in his eyes. They truly were amazing.
“Oh yeah,” I gasp, I wasn’t listening and still had no idea what to do.
“Um, yeah. So I think we should move onto Geography,” He said not even processing what he’d just said.
“Um mm kay,” I said not sure what I was really saying. Harry was gazing into my eyes so deep I felt as though he was burning holes into them. His face went kind of serious and I saw him close his eyes. Our faces were just inches apart and I saw a slight smile sneak onto his face, I felt his breath and closed my eyes and he leant forward and he kissed me. His lips were the perfect texture. They were soft and light against mine. His hands lingered on my face and down to the small of my back, as he pulled away he smiled.
