Madelyn’s POV
“Maddy, wake up!” Freyer was shaking me and the last thing I wanted to do was leave my bed.
“No!” I snapped, I heard them laughing. I crawled out of bed and slipped on my uniform, last night’s long bath seemed to be enough, I didn’t need another shower. The girls were just as dead beat as me but the thought of the boy’s school made things a little more exciting.
“You ready?” Freyer asked. The other girls had left already; I was a little slow this morning.
“Let’s get this over with,” I laughed as we walked to the hall. I had all the hundreds of beady eyes look at me as I walked in late. I sat my Daisy and took a croissant and orange juice as I did yesterday. Could anyone ever get sick of Croissants?
“Girls, the Boy’s School will be arriving in an hour so after breakfast I will ask you to get freshened up in your rooms and be seated back here at 11am, sharp,” Mrs Loyal seemed to look at me in particular. Had that teacher I thought I’d seen last night really been there? I sunk in my seat.
“Quick, maybe we’ll get half an hours sleep!” Loppy said and we all quickly followed her.
“I’ll set this alarm so we don’t get in trouble for being late,” Daisy said setting her phone for thirty minutes.
“Maddy!” Oh god! “Quick we’re late!” Freyer yelled scampering to her feet.
“Daisy!” Loppy squealed and she jumped to attention, “You’re stupid alarm!” I had enough time to fix up my hair so I didn’t have bed hair.
“Quick!” I yell and I follow the girls down the staircase and we sprint into the hall. For the third time since I have been here hundreds of beady eyes were staring at me. The four of us stopped in the doorway.
“What do we do?” Daisy whispered.
“Smile,” Loppy said walking ahead of us. I noticed the beady eyes didn’t just belong to girls. The boy’s school was here!
“Girls, It’s nice of you to join us,” Mrs Loyal’s tone was cranky.
“We’re so dead,” I heard one of the girls say although I wasn’t sure who.
“That one’s staring at you,” Freyer whispered as we sat down.
“Which one!” I demanded as I scanned the hall for a pair of staring eyes.
“That one!” She pointed to a guy with curly blonde hair, he had a chiselled jaw and strong features. His eyes were so blue that I could see them from across the hall.
“He’s nice,” Daisy said trying to catch his sight so she could wink.
“I’m not available,” I say, referring back to Harry.
“He doesn’t know that, plus maybe it’s just a partner he see’s you as?” Freyer said and I breathed a sigh of relief.
“You’re right,” I am startled when Loppy coughed.
“Not the way he’s looking at you. That is a definite crush!” I blushed and stared down Loppy.
Mrs Loyal took what seemed like years when giving everyone directions for the day ahead. The girls regularly nudged me when the blue eyes searched over me from across the hall.
“Okay girls! A short meeting will be held in the drama room, Mrs Jiminy will meet you all there,” Loppy moaned when she heard Mrs Jiminy’s name. From the girls explanations I shouldn’t like her, but she hasn’t done anything that has annoyed me yet, so I can’t say ‘I don’t like her’ until she has. I heard Mrs Loyal explaining different instructions to the boys as we all exited the hall and followed the girls in front of us. I had no idea where we were going.
