Sunday morning, so many things on my mind.

"I need to talk to Ronnie," I said to myself before getting out of bed.

I put on some normal clothes brushed my teeth and walked out without telling Frankie or Mikey. I didn't care, I need to talk to Ronnie now.

Once I got to his house I knocked on the door. I didn't realize how early it was until nobody answered. So I went to his window and tapped on the glass. The window opened.

Ronnie stood there, shirtless and in his boxers. His hair a total mess and his eyes half open and dark.

I've seen Ronnie in the morning before, but not like this. He looks like he was crying. Ronnie hardly ever cries.

"Hey," He mumbled. A one word greeting? That's not like Ronnie.

"Hi," I replied while climbing in his window.

"Have you figured anything out?" He asked.

"I have to tell you something too," I said.

"What is it?"

"I had a dream. I'm not sure if it's relevant or not but you need to know,"

"What was it about?"

"I was in the forest, just walking around, and Derek and me," I paused. "Me and Derek we kissed,"

Ronnie cringed.

"And then you showed up," I followed, "And you guys like fought. Not normal arguing like fighting in movies. And," I stopped. "This is gonna sound crazy,"

"No, keep going," Ronnie said firmly.

"Derek, like, set the ground on fire, and y-you jumped through it and carried me out of the forest. As if the fire didn't even effect you. I don't know if it means anything but maybe it does. A-and last night, I had a dream about, like, fire a-and ice. How they would never mix. Even if they tried, they would eventually just kill each other off. Again, I'm not sure if it means anything, but maybe it does,"

He nodded.

"It means everything Layla," He assured me.

"S-so what, you're like super human or something?" I asked.

"Sorta kinda,"

"Why couldn't you just tell me?"

"I-I couldn't Layla. See, I'm in this select group of kids our age. We were born a certain way and we kinda have, like, powers. And we can't tell anyone about this stuff because it's against the rules,"

"So what's your power?"

"I'll show you,"
