Luke laid in his bed, staring up at the ceiling as he find himself thinking about the dirty blonde teen who happened to be Ashton. He really don't understand why the smaller teen doesn't like him. He doesn't remember being rude to him at all, not in the last twelve years of his life. He hates that Ashton doesn't like him, is he trying too hard? Is he making the wrong approach every time he talks to him?

The blonde teen sigh again, wondering how he could win the other boy. Then something clicked in his head, maybe Ashton's not gay. With that thought, it made Luke groan. That's probably why Ashton doesn't like him! Ashton's not gay, but he is!

A gay guy liking a straight guy. Of fucking course that happens.

Wait, does Ashton hating on him makes him a homophobe? Luke doesn't know if Ashton is, there's a couple other gay teens at school. But none as popular as Luke. Luke knows the other gay teens and saw Ashton talking to them a couple times.

It annoyed him that the dirty blonde takes up his mind yet the boy is straight. He closed his eyes, but only to see Ashton.

Ashton was currently sitting on his best friend's bed, picking his nails and waiting for Calum to get back with their drinks.

The kiwi teen came back with Coke for the two of them and felt his pocket vibrate. He gave a can to Ashton as he pulled out his phone to see a text from Luke. He raised his eyebrows in confusion since it was rare that the team captain text him, usually it was to see if he was coming to hockey practice.

Luke: is Ashton a homophobe?

The message confused Calum the most since it was out of nowhere. He doesn't recall talking to Luke about the dirty blonde being against gays. His phone vibrates again.

Luke: don't question it, just ask him please...for me?

Calum cleared his throat, which grabbed his best friend's attention.

"Yes?"

"Uh, are you a homophobe?"Calum ask the smaller teen.

Ashton raise his left eyebrow in confusion, wondering why his best friend randomly asked him that question."Um...why?"

"I'm just wondering,"he state with a shrug, wanting to answer his team captain's question.

"Uh...no. I actually like them a lot better than straights. I mean, there's nothing wrong with straight people. I just like hanging with people that like the same sex."the dirty blonde answered his best friend's question.

Calum texted Luke back with 'no' before sitting down on his bed.

"Why did you ask me that question Cal?"

"I just wanted to know. Since you are a little rude to Luke and he's gay..."

"No, I don't hate Luke because of his sexuality! I have my reasons on why I don't like him. Wait, did he text you to ask me that?"

"Well shit,"Calum mutter under his breath."Uh...no."

When Luke got the text from Calum saying that Ashton isn't a homophobe, he was relieved. But it didn't last long when he realised that Ashton still is straight.

He can't ask anyone for help since they would say that there are 'more fish in the sea'. He doesn't want to be with anyone else, he wants to be with Ashton. But Ashton doesn't want to be with Luke.
