The weekend rolled around as the dirty blonde was fast asleep in bed. He was having a great dream until it was abruptly ruined by an obnoxiously loud pounding on his bedroom door. "What do you want?" he ask in annoyance, his voice groggy from his sleep.
"Your faggot friend is here! Open the damn door so you can leave!" his father bark from the other side, the nickname made the dirty blonde mad at his father. He could only imagine what his nickname would be, possibly worse since he is his son.
He opened his door after hearing his father's footsteps stomp away and he saw Calum standing there with his eyes glossy. The effect made the other boy tightly hug him as the kiwi hugged back as well.
"Don't ever listen to my father, he's a piece of shit that doesn't have a life." Ashton's voice was muffled by hugging his best friend. He doesn't care what he says about his father, it's all true anyway. He doesn't give a shit about the man.
"I—uh um, was wondering if you would want to go to the game. It would be great to have you there when the season is almost over. Maybe after we could go get hot coffee?" the kiwi teen smile at his best friend.
"Of course I'll be there! I'll be out in a bit." he said but the other boy quickly cut him off.
"I don't want to stay out here! I'm literally scared of your dad and I don't want to be in his way when he's wide awake! I don't want to feel like shit because I also like guys and I hate crying!"
"Go ahead," he let his best friend in. Guilt builds in his body as he has no idea why. It's his father's fault for being the way he is and drinking all the damn time. He never knew how to shut his mouth and ends up offending people, yet his father is angry that he can't find a job.
Ashton went to change into his clothes as Calum was looking away. A sigh of relief left his lips since he didn't see the dirty blonde wearing lacy pink panties. He pull on a pair of black skinny jeans and oversized sweater along with his Converse. He put on a beanie and informed the teen that he was ready to go.
The dirty blonde made sure that they were safe to walk out. On rare occasions his father can get violent and Ashton doesn't want Calum to witness that or acknowledge that side of his father. Luckily he was passed out on the couch with bottles everywhere and the scent made the teen almost hurl.
"Come on," he quietly inform his best friend as the two quickly went to the front door and to Calum's car.
"I'm really sorry Ash, but your father is disgusting." the kiwi boy said while buckling his seatbelt and starting the car.
"You don't need to apologise, I hate him with all my guts."
After the conversation, the car ride was silent as the only sound were the songs playing on his radio.
