The Battle Within

Eethan's POV

The duels were finally over. Nakakapagod kayat maaga akong natulog kagabi. I didnt expect na magigising ako ng ganito kaaga and because i know na wala pa kahit isa sa mga teammates ko ang gising na, I decided to visit the garden which  ive never been to before.

I sat down on a bench trying to feel nature and its serenity. I was interrupted by a cry and out of my curiosity, sinundan ko ito. I saw her, I thought it was someone else but its just her. Why bother to care in fact that girl never really cared for me? I turned around but my feet stopped and walk towards her, as if they have their own minds.

Nakasandal siya sa isang puno habang tinitingnan ang isang fountain at mahinang umiiyak. I sat beside her at pinahid niya agad ang mga luha niya.

"Ano bang ginagawa mo dito? Sinusundan mo ba ako? Pwede bang umalis ka na? Wala namang nangangailangan sayo dito." Siya pa tong may lakas ng loob na magsalita ha.

"Whats wrong if I wanna come here? Pagmamay-ari mo ba to? Dont assume something thats not really fit for you. Do you think you can have a stalker with that face and attitude? We guys, will never bother."

Namula ang mukha niya sa kahihiyan tsaka tumayo at tumungo sa building.

That girl is a pain!

Shia's POV

Im  still the only one here in the dining hall. Its actually an achievement dahil first time kong maging punctual. After minutes of boredom, I spotted Gin entering the Hall. I put a smile on para kamustahin siya sa kaniyang Duel. May malalim siyang iniisip at hindi niya ako namalayan dito. He actually looks problematic and dark bags are visible under his eyes. Natalo kaya siya kahapon?

I was about to stand up when he turned to my direction carrying his tray of food at biglang naglaho ang ngiti sa labi ko. My smile turned into a downcast dahil tiningnan lang niya ako with a blank expression at pumunta sa ibang table para kumain. Whats his problem this time?

Jatzen came na mukhang kagagaling lang sa panonood ng drama at ito namang si Eethan mukhang wala sa mood. Everybody came and no one missed to ask kung bakit ganyan makaasta si Gin. I wish I could tell them pero kahit ako hindi ko alam.

We proceeded to the Training Headquarter. A note was left there telling us to make use of the time in training for the upcoming Elimination Games.

Gin as our team leader decided to divide the house into two. Boys versus Girls. I was about to drag the daggers from the wall when it levitated at napunta sa kampo ni Gin. Victoria set the boys into an illusion but they sure are tough. Gin kept saying, "Wag kayong magpapadala, this is just one of Victoria's tricks."

Cain got away with it. He threw a bomb unto Victoria's direction. She dodged and escaped from the attack pero lubhang nasugatan ang paa niya causing her to be incapable of walking.

Luna was trying to make an herbal poison habang nakikipag-away kami ni Jatzen sa mga lalaki physically. We actually sparred inspite of us lesser in number (3-2) and being girls.

When Luna was done, she threw it to Cain's direction but Cain on the other hand threw a bomb for self-defense.

The atmosphere is now filled with the combination of poison and explosives kayat in no time, it started to explode hurting both Cain and Luna pretty badly. They are lying on the floor unconscious while Victoria remained helpless.

The four of us only have minor injuries so its now between me and Gin and Eethan versus Jatzen.

Eethan's POV

This will be fun. In terms of special abilities,  I have an advantage over Jatzen. I levitated all the daggers and sword trying to use each one to hit Jatzen. She managed to dodge some of it pero in the end, she lifted the table to cover herself.

"Afraid, arent you?"I said while chuckling

She faced me with a storm-like face. "Im not afraid of you!! Never will be!!" She yelled like its the last thing she could do, I just smirked as if teasing her.

I just stood there relaxed while she came running towards me like a quarterback. I never thought she would be that strong so I ended up lying on the floor. She hopped on top of me at pinagsusuntok niya ako. I tried to resist the punch by holding her arms forcefully. I cant even stand up dahil nakapatong siya sa akin. Honestly, Jatzen is sexy and I appreciate her curves pero hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit ang bigat bigat niya?

I summoned a dagger from the table to her neck. The blade is soothing her neck smoothly only waiting for my will to penetrate into her skin.

"One more punch or youll face death?" Paghahamon ko sa kaniya.

She started to drain her strength and she now feels lighter than a feather on top of me. Madali naman palang kausap ehh..

When I was about to reach the dagger from her neck, she picked it up quickly and motioned to stab my right arm. Mabilis ko itong naiwasan and it impacted on the floor instead. I pushed her hard and stood up. I was about to kick her when she pierced the dagger into my foot. I shouted in pain dahil sobrang sakit talaga.

Because of extreme anger, hinagis ko ang malaking table nang malakas sa kaniya upang mapatumba siya at mauntog sa sahig. Shes now lying on the floor unconscious. I leaned towards her at pinagmasdan ang sugatan niyang mukha. She sure is beautiful, long dark brown wavy hair, tanned skin, perfect lips and one thing that caught my attention when we first met, her deep chocolate eyes.

Iniwanan ko siya at papunta na kina Gin at Shia. Before I could make a step, isang malakas na paghampas ang tumama sa likod ko. She just doesnt quit, does she?

When I turned back, isang malaki at matipuno na lalaki ang nadatnan ko, he punched me on the face para mapaatras ako. Before he could make another punch, I used the table to cover myself. Dahil sa lakas ng suntok, nabutas ang wooden table and he started to chase me throughout the room. I never really had this kind of fun in years. Seryoso kasi ako sa mga training ko noon ehh.

I summoned the daggers and sword to shield me from his attacks. I also used these weapons to chase her like lost arrows hungry for human flesh. Natamaan siya ng isang sword kayat hindi na nakatayo. I held two knives, one on each hand then crossed them on her neck.

I was waiting for her to make that helpless pitiful face but instead dinuraan niya ako. Dahil sa galit, I pushed the knives making a small cut on her neck. Blood slowly oozed from her neck then she shape-shifted into a woman.

"Eliza?"

Napaatras ako tsaka hinagis palayo ang mga kutsilyo. She looks terribly pale at nahihirapan na siyang huminga. Her pitiful face that blames me for her suffering and the blood rushing out from her neck were enough to pierce my heart with pain.

The Eliza im seeing right now is the same Eliza that I watched on the TV Screen years ago. That moment when she died and that moment when my life shattered to pieces. My tears are now flowing from my eyes without my command and the look on Eliza's face made me feel weak and numb, I cant even move a pinky. I stayed like this for minutes when I realized na patuloy na umaagos ang dugo sa leeg ni Jatzen.

Hinubad ko ang aking t-shirt tsaka nilagay sa leeg niya. Bahagya ko siyang binuhat habang nakaupo sa sahig and tried to apply the cloth and pressure to her neck to control the bleeding. I shouted for help and Luna came for a rescue.

Mabilis niyang ginagamot si Jatzen. I cant help but blame myself for what happened. I shouldnt have done it!! I have gone too far!!
