Chapter Fifteen

Josh was coming home tonight and Maya couldn't be more thrilled. She'll admit this last week was heart-warming but she couldn't be away from him anymore. She realized that being a part from him was truly agonizing. Riley did everything she could to make Maya feel better, but some days were unsuccessful. The worst night she had was the day he left, the night her friends got back together she wanted to pull through but she broke down later in the night. Her heart was empty, she thought she was going crazy for feeling this way. They were both laying on top of Maya's bed that night, Maya was holding in her tears while the boys were here but as soon as they left she couldn't take it anymore.

"Is love suppose to feel like this" she asked Riley while crying in between each word. 

"Oh peaches, what you and Josh have is the most romantic love I have ever seen. I may not know what you feel on the inside for him but if it's anything like how you show on the outside, then he is the luckiest guy in the world. Everyone's love is different, whenever I see Lucas it feels as if the whole world around me has just stopped. All my focus is on him when he walks in a room, I still get butterflies even though I have seen him a thousand times. It's hard though having him be in Texas and all but it's just for a while I know it's not permanent. You see when two people love each other they will always find a way to make things work, always. No matter how hard it is at the end of the day, their love with pull through. And that's how I see your love Maya, you and Josh at the end of the day will do nothing but fight to keep what you have."

Maya thought what Riley had said was beautiful. Although she didn't want to feel empty and lost that's always what happened when he was away. She knows they are young and there is so much ahead of them but it just feels like everything is right. Everything feels in place. He said to live their lives, he knew Maya would be out there and he knew their someday would come but who would of thought someday was this soon. Who knows what the future holds but Maya knows she wants to experience all of it with him.

Maya was on a wild ride of emotions and despite what happened the first night it didn't stop her from having the best time of her life. She got to spend a whole week with Riley, Lucas, and Farkle what more could she ask for? It was back to good old days. Of course they were missing Zay and Smackle but they were spending the holiday with family, they all understood and knew there would be a next time. With all of them back in New York again they realized they hadn't visited all the places people typically come to see. So what did they do? They went to visit them. Throughout the entire week they hit up the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Central park, Madison Square Garden, Times Square, Coney Island, they did it all and they loved every minute of it. And as cliche as it was to go to all this places what mattered most was that they were having fun. They were making memories they would remember for a lifetime. All this traveling had them exhausted by the end of each day but they always had time for carry out and a movie. And when they finished yet another amazing day Maya would finish it off by skyping with Josh and see how his day was. She didn't want to bother him while he was over there but she wanted to hear about his travels. Each day was something new for him too. One day he would be at the Eiffle Tower and the next day he would be at Notre Dame de Paris, and the next day at the Louvre, and the next day Arc de Triomphe; it was never ending. Maya grew envious because she wanted to go to all those places with him, but she knew their time would come so for now a girl could only dream.

The last day they were all together was Thanksgiving. They made a plan to go to Thanksgiving dinner with the Matthews and needless to say it was quite interesting. Everything was going great just like every other holiday the Matthews' would host, until Riley spilled her relationship with Josh. And boy was everyone speechless. Maya was terrified because Katy and Shawn were there and she didn't want say anything yet until Josh was with her but it was too late for that now. But strangely enough they both seemed to be okay with it. Not happy or excited, simply just okay. Maya would take it considering they just found out, but they would warm up to him. They really didn't have a choice. On the other hand Cory and Topanga...well they were...accepting. They tried not to look overjoyed around Katy and Shawn but they were just obvious enough to show her they were happy for them. Oh how Maya loved those goofballs. 

However that was then and this was now. 

Josh had texted Maya saying he would be at her house within the hour but she couldn't wait that long anymore. She picked up her jacket and grabbed her keys, "Riley I'm heading to Josh's!" she said screaming towards her room.

"Didn't he say he was coming over later?" Riley asked curiously peeking her head out her bedroom door.

"Sunshine I can't wait that long! If this were Lucas wouldn't you be rushing over to him as we speak?" She asked knowing Riley's response all too well..

"Alright, alright! but I want updates don't go missing on me again Maya Hart" she said sternly, but all Maya could do was shriek and she hugged her best friend goodbye.

The trip to Josh's seemed like an eternity but that ten minutes bus ride was finally over, she nearly flew off the bus she was too excited to see Josh. She ran up those East Beacon Stairs and pulled the main door wide open nearly yanking it right off. There was no time to wait for elevators Maya thought as she went up the staircases all the way to the fourth floor. She was panting a little at this point so she took a second to cool down, but just for a second. She walked to his door and starting knocking until he answered she could hear him inside coming to the door, she could her his voice saying "I'm coming, I'm coming!" and as she did her final knock the door opened and their he was. Maya smiled wide and tackled Josh to the ground kissing his entire face, giggling the whole time. Maya was head over heels in love with him, and she became a complete sucker around him.

"Maya, Maya, Maya" Josh kept saying grinning while they were still on the floor. "I've missed you" he said trying to contain his laughter as they were both getting of the ground. 

"I missed you too Josh" she said as she placed her head against his chest. "Don't ever leave me again" she said pulling herself closer to him. 

"I'll never leave you again Maya" he whispered to her as he kissed the top of her head.

Very sorry for the late update you guys got busy with work and I'm starting school on Monday so it's been crazy i apologize in advance if the grammar is off i will edit better later just wanted to post this now

Sorry if this is more of a filler chapter but it was just a brief summary of what they did on their break and there are cute moments especially the beginning with Riley and Maya hopefully you enjoyed more to come of course and thanks again for the reads its 3k now which is amazing so thank you thank you! hope you guys had a good weekend let me know how you like the story so far
