He's just a fantasy, You don't go out with a Fantasy ( Joshaya )

Chapter Sixteen

Maya decided to spend the night with Josh, there was just no way she could go home they were still catching up. She called Riley letting her know she was spending the night, lucky for her it was a Friday so she didn't need to wake up early. Unfortunately once Monday rolled in it was back at school and their next break wasn't until 3 weeks from now. But hey she wasn't complaining, she could survive a few more weeks. Josh had ordered pizza shortly after Maya arrived, and put on a movie just for background noise. Josh talked to Maya about his sight seeings, the food, music, the people all his countless stories made Maya want to go to France so badly with him. It didn't have to be France all she wanted was one on one time with him. They were so busy talking that Josh still had to unpack all his belongings. He rolled his suitcase to his room and Maya followed behind him. He started to unpack a few things, and Maya noticed his camera bag was tucked away safely. She grabbed it gently and removed the camera from the bag, she started to go through each photo. 

Wow; was all she could say, Josh was an amazing photographer.

"Babe these are incredible" Maya said she couldn't help but smile at how talented her boyfriend was. 

Josh looked up from his suitcase and saw the expression on Maya's face, she was in awe.

"You think so?" he asked, no one ever complimented his work as much as Maya did. All she did was nod. 

"I wish I was there with you" she sighed turning off the camera and placing it back in the bag. Josh noticed how her mood shifted, the trip was one of the greatest experiences he has ever had but it would have been better with Maya. And then he gave himself an idea. An idea that made him smile ear to ear, which Maya noticed. He took a break from unpacking and sat next to her on his bed.

"What's with the huge smile on your face boing?" she asked curiously while laying her head in his lap. Josh began to scratch her head.

"How about you and me go on  trip? Not anything extravagant yet, but just a getaway for now how does that sound love?" 

Maya's eyes lit up, "Just you and me? Together?" 

Josh nodded, "Yes. But, don't ask any questions it's going to be a surprise" he kissed Maya on the lips and they finished unpacking, by the time they were done they were beat. They both decided it was time to sleep so Josh went ahead to the bathroom first to get ready for bed. Maya went straight into Josh's dresser to grab her favorite pair of shorts to sleep in along with one of his old baseball tees. Josh was taking longer then usually so she just decided to get undress in his room hopefully he didn't mind.

[ JOSH ]

 I closed the bathroom door behind, "Maya the bathroom is all yours-" I stopped talking once I saw Maya only in her bra and underwear.

"I'm so sorry! I should have knocked oh god-" I turned around feeling embarrassed. Moments later I could hear Maya laughing, she walked up behind me and hugged me. 

"What's the matter Josh? It's just me but shirtless" she said mimicking me from when she first saw me just in boxers. She turned me around, I tried not to stare at her.

"Josh look at me " she said, "please"

I sighed and looked her directly in the eyes still feeling red.

"See? It's just me. Same old Maya Hart" she said smiling and kissed me on the cheek

"However you look awfully cute when flustered" she whispered in my ear giggling. She walked away to the bed and put on my clothes for the night.

"Better?" she asked me, she was fully clothed this time. I scratched the back of my head "Well I-um you know whatever is fine" I said nervously, but could you blame me?

I saw Maya roll her eyes playfully, "You're ridiculous" as she undid the covers. She adjusted her pillow and settled herself within the sheets. She started to yawn, "don't wake me up in the morning alright?" she yawned again "too tired for-" she drifted off to sleep before she could finish whatever she had to say. I tried not to laugh loudly but she was so tired I don't think anything could wake her now. I was about to join her in bed but I knew I couldn't take out the last thing in my suitcase without having her be asleep first. In suitcase there was a secret compartment that thankfully Maya didn't find, hence the phrase secret compartment. I unzipped the side of the suitcase and the tiny box was still there. I took out the box and moved it to the second drawer of the dresser, but before putting it away I wanted to see if it was  still as beautiful as I remembered and I wasn't just crazy for buying it. I took a deep breathe and opened the box, I was relieved, it was. It was the right decision, once I saw that ring I knew it had to be Maya's. 

"Maya's going to love it" I whispered to myself as I closed the box shut and placed it back in the drawer.

Very sorry for not updating sooner! I started school on Monday so updates will take 2-3 days if not sooner no later than 3 though so sorry guys wish summer lasted longer

Apologizes again for a somewhat short chapter but I threw in another Joshaya moment and yes you read that right josh bought a ring of some sort so another twist added
