"Are you excited to go home?" Ethan asked in a cheerful voice. I think he was more excited than me.
"Totally." I said sarcastically. Obviously I'm excited, but I just don't show excitement. Ever.
Ethan picked me up and gently place me on the wheelchair beside me.
"You know I can walk, right?" I said sharply. He laughed at me.
"Of course I know that, but it's the rules." He rolled me down the halls as all of the familiar doctors smiled at me. They were all excited, probably because I'm the most skilled resident here.

Ethan walked me over to my couch and helped me sit down. I rolled my eyes at him, I don't need his help.
"I know what you're thinking, but you have to take it easy today." He stated.
"Yea right. I'm finee." I whispered. He smirked as he placed a kiss on my cheek.
"Go out with me. Tonight." He demanded without even asking if I was up for it.
"Do you not remember what happened last time?" A grin appeared on his face.
"oh trust me, I remember. This will be different though." He replied smoothly. I nodded in agreement.

"Where are we going Ethan??" I begged him to answer me. It's 11:00 at night and he's driving me in the middle of nowhere. And we are going uphill, he must be trying to kill me.
"I told you, it's a surprise!" He exclaimed.
"I don't like surprises." I sighed."Aaannd we're here!" He yelled climbing out of the car. I looked around. It was silent, and dark.
"What the-"
"Just follow me." He whispered. I willingly followed him, hoping for the best.
"Whoa." Was all I could say. We were on the edge of a cliff, looking over the city. The bright lights were glowing brilliantly in the darkness. I could see cars driving through the night, and the traffic lights shining green and red.
"This is my spot." He whispered as he sat on the edge, dangling his feet over the city. I sat beside him as I started shaking. He looked me up and down for a second.
"You're scared of heights?" He had a hint of humor in his voice.
"Just shut up!" I hit him and laughed it off. If nobody knew my life story and got me to love them, they definitely didn't know my biggest fears.
"What else are you afraid of?"
"Bugs. Any kind of bug. Even flies. And fire. I'm terrified of fire. I won't even light a lighter." I replied as I started laughing at myself. He stared at me, and wouldn't look away.Ethan's POV
I looked at her for a while, memorizing her features. She's beautiful, with her long wavy hair, sparkling blue eyes, perfect cheekbones and plump lips. I looked at her cute little nose and her long, long eyelashes. That was when I realized; I wanted her. Yes, I already knew I wanted her, but now I can see that I really, really want her. I'm the sun that she needs and she is the dark that I need. She sees everything in grey, while I see everything in black and white. I need her. And I'm not going to lose her.Scarlet's POV
He leaned in and kissed me. It's our first kiss that I can actually remember. He was gentle, yet passionate. He placed one of his hands in my hair, towards the back of my head.
I pulled away and gazed at him. He's everything I've ever dreamed of.
"I have this feeling that I'm about to let my guard down and let myself fall deeply in love with you. If I'm making a mistake, tell me right now." I whispered.
"Mistake? More like the best choice you'll ever make." He chuckled. I made him face me and look me in the eyes.
"I'm being serious." I said firmly. For a second I thought he was going to get up and walk away. But instead, he stroked my cheek and looked me dead in the eyes.
"I promise you." He whispered gently. "You won't be making a mistake."
I just hope he's telling the truth.I wonder if he's telling the truth or not? I guess you will find out😏
