Stay with me.

"She's back! I got a pulse!"
I opened my eyes to see I was being rolled into an ambulance truck. There was a brace around my neck, and my mouth and nose were covered in an oxygen mask. I turned my head as much as I could to see Ethan laying next to me, doing the same thing. We made eye contact and I could tell that he was giving up. He knew that he didn't have much chance at survival. But there's still a chance.

Ethan's POV
I made eye contact with her and instantly felt my heart being shattered to pieces. She was clutching onto the box with the ring for dear life. I know that this isn't good. I know that I'm not going to be okay. I know because I don't feel any pain. I looked at her and slowly shook my head, my eyes stinging from the awaiting tears. I don't know if she is going to survive this, either. I mean, she just flatlined and they brought her back. We both keep flatlining, and eventually they won't be able to save us.
She had pure fear in here light blue eyes. Her eyebrows arched down and she started quickly shaking her head at me. I knew exactly what she was thinking as I heard her panicking under the oxygen mask.
"No. Ethan stay with me. Please stay."
She reached over and laced her fingers in mine. The paramedics rushed to her aide to help her breathe as she wheezed. I looked at her one last time before everything went black.

Scarlet's POV
I gripped onto his hand as tight as I could, squeezing it in an attempt to make him open his eyes.
"He's coding!" A paramedic yelled, getting ready to shock him. "3,2,1 CLEAR!" Ethan's body shook, and they sighed in relief. "He's back, for now."
That was the last thing I heard before losing consciousness again.

I felt myself being hastily rolled out of the truck. We must be at Mayville Medical, my hospital.
"What do we have?" Dr. Shepard's familiar voice was faint, as I was struggling to stay awake. He stopped in his tracks when he locked eyes with me. His expression was unexplainable. His eyes drifted from me to Ethan and his expression dropped even more. All of the familiar doctors I have came to love sprinted over and started evaluating our injuries. I felt Ethan being pulled away so I held on to his hand even tighter.
"Crap, he's coding again!"
Dr. Bailey, another good friend of mine grabbed our interlocking hands. She leaned down to me.
"Scarlet, you need to let go. Let go so they can save him." I loosened my grip for a second and they sprinted away with him. I tried to yell but I started coughing up blood into my mask.
"Hey, calm down. Stay with me. I've got you now." Derek (Shepard) said soothingly as all of the doctors rushed me to an operating room.
"Stay with me, Lorraine!" Was the last thing I heard before drifting off again.

Comment you're thoughts? And sorry if this is sad 😁😂
