Chapter 10

I paced around the hallway, waiting for the surgeons to come out. It's my first day back, and I had to deal with trauma. They weren't coming quick enough, so I had to start a surgery myself. They kicked me out as soon as they arrived. I really hope the patient is okay.
"Hey, I heard what happened. Are you okay?" Ethan asked as he sped walked towards me. I looked down and smiled. "What could you possibly be smiling about right now?" He questioned me as he took a seat against the wall.
   "I just did my first solo surgery. I am the best resident." I said cooly. He chuckled.
  "You sick bitch!" I smack his shoulder and sat down next to him.

After what felt like forever, Derek pushed through the door. Ethan and I instantly stood up.
   "Is she okay? I didn't kill her did I?" I begged him to answer me.
  "Oh my god you killed her!" Ethan whispered as he judged the look on Dr. Shepard's face.
   "She's alive. You're lucky. There are so many other surgeons in this building you could have called-" he lectured me.
  "But they weren't neuro and ortho!" I defended myself as he interrupted me.
  "They are experienced though, which you are not. Try to pull anything like this again and you're in trouble." He scolded as he walked away.

Ethan's POV
She turned to me and smiled, the widest smile I've seen. I don't understand her, she just got yelled at and got a warning, what could she possibly be happy about??
  "I saved her!! I did it! I'm officially a surgeon!" She squealed to me as she jumped up and down. She looked so adorable, her eyes sparkling with joy and excitement, her dimples popping out from smiling so hard. I'm so in love with her.

Scarlet's POV
Ethan pulled me into the supply closet and started kissing me intensely. I pushed him away and looked at him.
   "What the hell are you doing?" I whispered. A smirk appeared on his face.
   "You."
