Delaney and Odell are the perfect match , they compliment each other. He silences her demons , and she makes him a better man. There's no such thing as perfect though is there ?
We sat in the doctors office waiting , I chewed the inside of my cheek and twirled my fingers through my hair. Nervous wasn't the word for what I was feeling right now. I felt like my heart was going to be out of my chest.
" Delaney Delrio ?" I stood up and Emeli followed behind me into the exam room. I sat up on the bed , and Emeli sat in the corner chair.
" Well I can see the resemblance, I never knew Emeli had a sister. I am Dr Ruiz . What's going on ?"
I looked down at my hands and closed my eyes. " I think I may be pregnant."
" Oh so you need a pregnancy test , well we can do that."
He left out to go and get the nurse to do my blood work. Once it was over I felt like a weight has been lifted on my shoulder. I wouldn't get the results for a day or two so I would have to live on edge until then.
On our car ride back home I was silent. I didn't know how this conversation was going to go with Odell, we talked about it the other day but it was a future thing not a right now thing.
" Hey Buggie talk to me why you so quiet ?"
" I'm sorry EM , I just have a lot on my mind. Am I really ready to be a mom ? Is my baby going to have the same emotional and mental issues that I have ?"
" You don't have issues Buggie , you had a rough past you are allowed to have weak moments. I have seen you with Ayanna you are going to be a great mother. It may not even be pregnancy maybe you should talk to someone about your mood swings."
" I haven't had a period EM I just ignored it thought it was stress but now it is starting to make sense."
" How do you think Odell is going to handle it?"
" I'm not sure but I am going to find out. I won't bring it up tonight because we are going to catch up with an old friend of his tonight."
" Well bring it up when you get the results back that way you'll know for sure if you even need to bring it up."
We pulled into the driveway I climbed out of the car and hugged EM and thanked her . I walked into the house and walked up to the bedroom Odell was standing in the mirror admiring himself I stood back against the door and watched him, he was so sexy.

He finally caught me watching him he turned around and smiled at me . I walked over to him and kissed his lips.
" Did you enjoy the show babe ? How long were you watching me."
" It wasn't that long but I did enjoy the view , you look nice."
" Thank you mama. How is EM she okay ?"
I nodded my head and smiled " Just a little gas nothing major lol . Lemme change and then we can go ? Wait are we gonna Uber ?"
" Nah Q took me to get a rental earlier so we are good take your time."
I walked into the bathroom and showered , brushed my teeth , and applied my make up. I walked out into the bedroom and Dell wasn't there anymore , I walked over to the bedroom door and locked it. I stood in front of the closet looking through my clothes what was I going to wear?

I walked down to the first floor , and Odell was sitting in the kitchen talking to Emeli and Quandell. I haven't seen Kevin and I was thinking it's probably for the best.
" Well look at you pretty ! " EM smiled drawing attention to me coming into the kitchen.
" Well I always have to make a good impression when I am meeting Odell's friends because he has a reputation."
" And u always tell her she doesn't have to because she has exceeded my reputation. She is the MVP. "
He walked over to me and kissed my forehead. I smiled and wrapped my hands in his.
" We will be back later on tonight. If you guys need us just call And we will come back. "
" Go have fun enjoy each other we are all good here. Just be good" I smiled and we walked out to the car . The weather at night time was beautiful in Cali.
We drove for about 15 minutes before we pulled up to the spot where I guess his best friend was staying. No one gets hotels anymore obviously. The house was beautiful, Odell opened the door for me and i stepped out. We knocked on the door and some really tall brown skin guy opened the door. He smiled and him and Odell greeted each other with some handshake . He turned to me and smiled shaking my hand he introduced himself as Victor. We played some games and then Dell and Victor caught up with each other while me and Victor's girlfriend got to know each other. We spent a few hours over there and then decided to go to the beach before heading back to the house.
We walked along the beach hand in hand , the water was beautiful the way to moonlight was falling on it.

I took my shoes off and walked into the water letting the small waves splash around my feet. It was so peaceful here , made me forget about all the stress going on in my life. I smiled thinking about bringing the baby here once he or she could walk. I snapped back into reality when Odell wrapped his arms around my waist from behind , I rested my body against his chest and we just watched the water. I looked down at my finger and realized. We can do this , we can be a family if we need to. We are a strong team nothing could change that. Or could it ?
