We got back to the hotel and I just wanted to get out of these clothes and into the bed. Odell had worry written all over his face , I guess maybe he thinks seeing Iris brought back all the old feelings from when I first found out about them and that's not even the case at all. He walked out to the balcony of the hotel room , I looked over at my phone and picked it up. I looked at the text again and couldn't believe she seriously sent it too us, I wasn't going to let her get inside of our heads , because then she wins and fuck her she doesn't win.

To Iris,

I know I told you earlier that we were through. Maybe you didn't understand it so let me spell it out for you. Me and Odell THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICES , but they are no longer needed. He's good, I'm good, we are good with each other. You were fun while you lasted but we realize that fun was never worth our happiness. So I will ask you one final time Iris leave me and Odell alone . After this wedding is over, you won't see or hear from us again, unless you want to have a problem with me and pregnant or not I solve ALL problems Iris.

I sent the message in a group text so that Odell would see and stop freaking out. I watched as he picked up his phone and read the message, I smiled to myself and he looked back at me. I caught his eye and he walked back into the room.

" Pregnant or not huh gangsta ? Not pregnant with Odell Beckham's baby you won't be solving any problems."

He leaned down and kissed me slowly. I wrapped my arms around him pulling him down too me , he scooted me back on the bed climbing between my legs. I ran my fingers through his hair kissing him harder.

" I just wanted her to know that she doesn't win , and that we are better than ever. I could tell when she was talking to me that she thought she won. But I could see when I turned around and she saw my little bundle of joy she was thrown off."

He rubbed my belly and smiled , leaning down towards it his planted small kisses all over my belly. I took a picture of him and smiled. My happiness was with the two of them. He laid behind me, wrapping his arms around me pulling my body into his. I closed my eyes and drifted off into sleep. Tomorrow was the rehearsal dinner , and the first time that I would be meeting Emeli's mother. I was kind of worried about what my reaction would be to a woman who dealt with my father.

The Next Morning

I woke up and Odell was still fast asleep, I climbed out of the bed and went out on the patio to call Mel.

" Good Morning My Love."
" I didn't think you were going to be awake mom."
" Well your little sister is an early riser , and once she's up there is no going back to sleep."
" Kiss my little nugget for me. I'm glad you were awake because I needed to talk."
" Today is the day , me and your dad spoke about it last night."
" What happens if seeing her causes a relapse , and I go into one of my breakdown moods."
" Odell will be there, if you feel yourself slipping tell him, even if you need me just take a walk and call me. You can do this baby girl you have to believe you can do it."
" Thank You Ma, I love you. I am going to go wake up Odell now. I'll call you later."
" I love You Laneybug."

Every since the adoption was finalized , our relationship has been stronger than ever. I couldn't have asked for a better family. I walked back into the room and Odell was sitting up on the bed stretching. I walked over to him and sat on his lap kissing him softly.

" Good Morning Baby, how did you sleep?"

" I slept like a baby , but I always do when you hold me. I woke up once , but after that I was fine."

" You okay? Usually when you wake up that means something is bothering you."

" I am just worried about meeting Em's mom for the first time that's all."

" That's understandable , but I will be right there baby. If you need a moment I am sure that Emeli, her mother and everyone else will understand."

" It'll be fine I'll be okay. Let's get dressed we have breakfast with them this morning."

I  made the decision of meeting Em's mother before we gathered with the whole wedding party , that way if it was hard I would have the chance to not attend the rehearsal dinner , I know that wouldn't be okay me being the maid of honor. But I don't wanna ruin any of Em's events leading up to this wedding , which is why I held it together at the party when Iris showed up. Hopefully today goes well.
