PBE: The Sequel

After our football game which we won by the way. There was no losing on purpose, me and Odell were both way to competitive , but we let Ayanna score multiple times. I took a shower and helped Odell unpack his bags. I remember Em saying she wanted to talk to me , so after all was done I went down and helped Em cook. She was so amazing in the kitchen her food, made me forget all about my diet, I was going to be on punishment when I get back to NOLA no cheat days for me. I dipped my finger in the pasta sauce to taste it , and she smacked my hand with the spoon. I winced in pain and rubbed the back of my hand

"Ow Em, sheesh I just wanted to taste it don't be so abusive" I laughed and sat down at the Island.

" So what's up? You want to ask me to sing at your wedding or something?"

She looked at me and rolled her eyes like girl bye " No not quiet, I want to talk to you about Kevin."

I bit the inside of my cheek, I was worried that it was going to come to this.I shifted in my seat and looked at her

" Want to tell me what happened this morning?"

" Nothing happened what you mean Em?"

" Stop Delaney , he already told me what he did I want to hear your side of the story."

" Well when I came back from my run, which I apologize again for being late. I took a shower , I was in the middle of getting dressed and Kev kind of just busted in my room. He said it wasn't like I haven't seen you in a bikini. He kind of like moved in close on me, when I told him that he was being weird he kissed me. I didn't know how to react because it happened so fast. Did I lead him on Em?"

She shook her head and walked over to me " He told me that you never lead him on , he said it was he vibe. He's really upset about Odell being here because I think he may have developed a little bit of a crush on you . I asked him not to approach you about it. You two need to talk , it doesn't have to be now. Don't stress it."

It was really cute how she threw that in there , it had been a while since I had an episode but it felt like this could turn into one.

" I want to just clear the air between us, I like being around Kevin he's a great guy but Odell is my guy."

" I think Kevin knows that , it's hard for anyone not to know when they see you two together it's obvious."

She rubbed my shoulders and held her head on mine " It's going to be fine , Kevin will understand. I'm sure you and Odell can move past this , I just hope he doesn't spazz when he finds out."

I laughed and looked up at her " He already knows."

" Oh you really are in love , I probably would've waited until after I was married to tell Quandell."

" EM!" She rolled her eyes and waved her hand

" You have to pick your struggles Del and arguing about a kiss that meant nothing. Not on the list of struggles okay."

" We didn't argue actually , he got upset but I asked him not to because of Ayanna. He agreed he just wants to talk to Kev that's all."

" Well I'll make sure Quandell is there to mediate cause two grown men , fighting over my baby sister I don't think so not in my house."

I laughed at her and stepped down from the island. I walked over to her and hugged her.

" Emeli thank you. I never had this growing up only with Rae , but she always fought my battles for me. You are being protective but letting me handle it myself thank you. I love you Em."

She smiled and squeezed my hand " I love you too buggie."

I walked upstairs to the bedroom and Odell was laying down watching Tv. I walked in and laid next to him sliding my body under the side of his body. He looked down at me and kissed my nose.
