Danica was dropped off at her home after kicking and being knocked out by me after she said a few nasty things. We reached home by the time it was almost nine p.m after digging up the flash drive at the old farmhouse. Charlie was a little hesitant to stay with us but I convinced her to after she told us about Sofia knowing where she lived and all.

"There's an extra guest room in the middle building," I told her. She had taken a few other things from her apartment and was now here with us. We sat down by the couch as we talked about the past year and what has happened to us.

"Wait. What was that?" I asked her as I stared at her mouth. She kept her mouth shut tightly before giving me a wide and cheeky grin. The three brothers had sat in the living room with us as Donovan sat by my side.

"Nothing," She insisted.

"I know when I see a tongue piercing, Charlie."

"Hm. That's wild," Vincent mumbled. She blushed.

"Did it hurt?" I asked.

"It doesn't," Pierce suddenly said. I turned to him and arched an eyebrow.

"Pierce, was I talking to you?" I asked him. He laughed before sticking his tongue out. That's when I saw the small metal ball inside his mouth, right on his tongue. I widened my eyes.

"No way. How have I never noticed that?" I asked as I walked closer to him. He laughed again.

"I had it pierced since I was in high-school. I just stopped wearing it most days, mostly days when you aren't around strangely." He turned to Charlie and smiled. She offered him a generous smile for once.

"You guys must be freaks behind the sheets then,"!Donovan joked. We all laughed as Charlie's cheeks grew even more red. All of a sudden, Donovan took my hand in his and the others whistled at us as we walked towards the back porch.

"Are you cold?" He asked as we stepped out into the cool night sky. I nodded just as he grabbed a big, warm and white blanket. With his arms and the blanket wrapped around us, we stared out into the city lights. For awhile, we stayed liked his, wrapped in one another's arms. Then he stepped back and dropped the blanket and I heard the creaking of the porch as I turned to see him down on one knee. I gasped slightly as my eyes started to water.

    "Donovan-"

"I know I have asked you two times and you've never given me a clear response but I didn't do it right." He suddenly pulled out a black box and as soon as it opened, I felt my eyes watering. It was the diamond from the necklace that he had given me years ago in high school; the same square cut diamond that shined oh-so brightly even now. I bent down on my knees to be face to face with him only with me looking slightly up to meet his face.

"When did you take the necklace?" I asked him.

"When you were sleeping. I had it cut to fit this ring," he chuckled nervously. I was speechless.

"Emery Jane. The love of my life. My forever. I know that we have been through more things than any normal lovers should ever go through but we aren't just any ordinary couple. We've faced difficulties and yet through it all, I found my way to you and you found me. Always. I want to be with you for the rest of my life and Emery.. You're the first person to ever know me for me. I can't live without you. If there ever comes a day, I wouldn't know how to live without you because I just can't. I need to see that beautiful smile of yours everyday and hear that laugh that always makes me feel happy to just be alive to be able to witness it. I love the little things you do like when you tug on the ends of your hair when you're nervous and I just love you," his voice broke at the end which resulted in more tears rolling down my warm and rosy cheeks. I could feel his larger hands cup my face as he held me closer to him until my forehead rested against his.

"I live you, Emery. And love and adore and want and need you. Now. Tomorrow. Next week. In a year. For the rest of my damn life. So Emery Jane.. Will you please do the honors of marrying me, maybe not this year or next year but some day?" I looked from the ring to his face as I instantly wiped the tears around his eyes before shouting a very loud,

"Yes!" My lips melted against his and I was in my happy place, right next to him. He kissed me back before he slipped the ring on my finger. For a few minutes, we stayed out here embraced in one another before going back inside to a quiet room of the three sitting there. They looked sort of awkward. As Donovan stood beside me, they turned to us before I held my hand out. The room bursted into cheers and they all stood up to congratulate us.

"Thank the heavens because when Emery screamed 'yes', I was afraid that you guys were having porch sex!" Pierce commented. Oh my god. My cheek stained red as I finally understood why they looked so awkward when we walked inside. Charlie hugged me and admired the ring with me while the guys gave Donovan a pat on the back.

I guess forever was closer than I thought it was.
