Ryan's POV~

Throughout the rest of the day I ended up being stuck in my room. After the little 'show' my mother did in the hospital, I ran up to my room and locked myself in. Even so that was what my mother wanted to do to me in the first place, funny how I ended up doing the same.

"I like that name."

A smile crept to my lips as Kendra's words echoed through my mind. I leaned against my bedroom door and slid down imagining her beautiful piercing blue eyes which always captivated me every time. Not a moment too soon until I get to see her again. It's like our paths were meant to be crossed and our destinies connected. The night of the party flashed in my eyes, the way she danced with me, how she spoke to me, and even the way she drank, remained fresh in my head. If only I can get a moment with her alone...

I was about to text to Sammy of my little adventure when suddenly my screen lit up.

"Weird." I mumbled to myself as an unknown number made me doubt to whether to answer it or not. The call finally ended only to show up once again. From the looks of it, it looked urgent. It kept insisting on calling my number even after I didn't answer it. After the fifth call I gave up and answered the freaking call.

"Hello?" I frowned as no one answered at the sound of my voice immediately.

In the background I could hear the distant of rummaging and the heavy breathing of someone. It was as if someone was holding its phone right to his lips like a crazy psycho killer would do. I was about to hang up the call when finally a very low voice spoke at the other end.

"Wait." It breathed.

"W-who is it?" I stammered as little goosebumps ran up through my arms.

Once again it went silent.

"Hello? What kind of prank is this?" I was starting to get angry.

Just when I was about to hang up for the second time, the voice again spoke saying wait. I waited like it told me to but still it said nothing. Before It could tell me again to wait, I hung up the call. The moment I put my phone down on the floor, the same number appeared. Whatever it wanted, I wasn't willing to answer it only to get the silence. Something of the way how it breathes caused my skin to tingle. I threw my phone across the room as it landed softly with a thump on my bed. Leaning back my head against the door, I took a heavy sigh and just stared at the blue ceiling I had. Ever since I was little I would stare away my problems hoping that it would get sucked into the air.

To my dismay, It only gets worse.

I thought the caller gave up when instantly my phone started to vibrate vigorously. I watched as slowly my phone started to move slowly across the bed and come across to the very edge of the bed. With so much effort, the phone finally managed to do its objection only to fall on the floor. I winced as I thought my phone was going to shatter and break its screen but it gently landed with a thud. I was about to go pick it up when the same voice appeared on my phone even so it was off.

"I told you to wait and you didn't listen."

I jumped back and gawked as my phone spoke to me.

"Who is it?!"

"Your disobedience will cost you greatly. Worse...you will pay for something you haven't even done." It gave a small laugh.

"What the hell do you want?!" My patience blew.

"Nothing."

It quickly hung up and a image of my mother appeared in the screen.

"What in the world?" My hands shook as I picked up my phone.

At first I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me but as I look closely at the picture, anything that came from my mother could be real.

"Valerie put the knife down."

Norman the police officer's voice echoed in my mind as a quick flash image of my mother from earlier with the knife she threatened me with in the car.

"You are all but troublemakers...."

"No..." I breathed as I felt voices speaking to me in my head. From outside I could hear my mother arriving in my father's car. She quickly turned off the headlights and disappeared into the garage. Earlier she dropped me off and drove off without saying a word. The clock on my nightstand read 12:30pm.

Something had her late alright for her to come this late at night.

I looked back down on my phone and felt my heart tighten as disbelief washed over me.

"How could my mother do this?" My voice cracked in disgust as I saw the picture.

My mother was walking out from a house with a huge grin on her face. She was glancing to the side and casually walked out from the random house.

With a bloody knife in hand.

Whoever sent me the picture clearly knew my mother really well. Or better yet was watching all of her moves without her realizing it.

It was out for revenge.

And its first target was about to be me.

"Estefano honey."

I could hear my mother's voice greeting my father from downstairs. I could just imagine my mother wrapping her arms around my father's neck and placing small kisses on his cheeks. I took a huge gulp and slightly cracked my door open so I could hear them better.

"Where have you been?" My father asked.

"Just with my son's stupid principal."

"It took this long?" My father asked suspiciously.

"Me and Mrs. Trinity go way back when I was a youngling. Stupid Ryan got me in trouble again. I could get Mrs. Trinity to stop lecturing me." She exasperated.

"Ugh we seriously need to do something about that kid." My father suggested.

"How about we sell Ryan?" My mother laughed.

I felt my blood run cold.

They couldn't be serious about it.

I slammed my door shut and leaned against the door as I started to breath hard like each breath I took was choking me.

"Ryan?" Both of my parents said in unison as they slowly went up the stairs.

"I have to do something!" I panicked and dialed in the first numbers that came to my head. I had no clue where these numbers came from, all I knew was that the owner of those numbers could be the only one to help me out.

"What does she do to you?"

Norman's question when I was in the hospital came to me.

"Hello?" It answered.

"Norman help me. Please." I begged. "My own mother has committed murder."
