Ryan's POV~
"No Sammy we can't do this." I finally reacted to her kiss and took a step back out of breath.
Her eyes widened and she started to mess with her fingers in attempt to pretend nothing happened here.
"Sorry It was the moment." She mumbled.
"Well try and not to let that happen again." I scratched the back of my neck. To say I didn't felt awkward was a lie.
"Ryan I'm-"
"It's okay." I cut her mid sentence and looked away from her.
I cant believe this freaking happened.
"Thanks for the night out." Sammy gave me a glare and brushed past me.
"Sammy wait," I grabbed her arm and quickly flinched back. "Err... Where are you going?"
"Home. And oh," She lifted a finger. "Don't worry about me I will take care of the bodies."
A couple dancing besides us flinched at the mention of bodies.
"Sammy." I whispered through gritted teeth. "Whisper!"
"Oh so now your are embarrassed to be with me?" She whispered through gritted teeth as well.
"It's not that "
"Then what? You're too good for me?" She crossed her arms over her chest. "Not everything is about you Ryan. That kiss didn't mean anything to me anyways. If anything it just made me realize how much you are like your mother."
Like your mother....
Her words were like knife to my heart. After everything I did for her tonight, this is what she pays me with?! I fisted my hands together and just let her walk right past me.
"You're not worth it anyways." I had my back to her as I mumbled.
I lifted my glass of punch in the air and saw her reflection spin around to face me. A small smirk spread to my lips as I stared at her rage and hurt face through the glass. I wanted my best friend back but if she wants to play hard, then hard I will play back. Every single person I've care have betrayed me somehow. Either that or break my heart. I was fed up with everyone using me and throwing me away like trash.
The music and the people around me stopped once again to stare at me.
Tonight I was the show.
"You want to really know what happened to Cody tonight?" I rose my voice so everyone could hear me.
"Ryan what are you talking about?" Sammy hissed.
I turned around to face her and slightly tilted my glass. From the restrooms Kendra came out with anger burning through her eyes as she stood in the crowd.
"Tonight it was only me and Kendra," I took a large step towards Sammy and towered over her. "And guess what I did instead?"
Her eyes went round and fear was written all over her face.
"What is happening to you Ryan?" Her voice cracked.
"Nothing!" I laughed with no humor. "I went through all the trouble to get Kendra and all for what? To have my best friend, note I said BEST FRIEND, to get all sentimental on me?"
"Ryan I-"
"I'm not done talking Samantha." I sneered.
I thought I had everything under control when suddenly I saw a hand fly out to my cheek.
