Ryan's POV~

The ride was awfully silent as I focused on the road and Sammy watched out through the window. The quietness was killing me.

"So having fun?" I quickly gave a glance to her.

"Yeah." She gave short reply.

I bit my lips trying hard to figure out why all the sudden she was quiet. It must be weird to be with me after all that has happened.

"Are you okay?" I had to ask.

"Ryan do you like her?" She suddenly asked randomly, ignoring my question.

"Kendra?"

"Yes her. Ever since you met her in Cody's party, you haven't been like yourself." She kept her eyes out the window. "I'm just afraid she will intervene with our...ahem...friendship."

"She's not the problem." I defended Kendra even so she was part of the reason. "It's Cody but he won't be a problem anymore."

"What do you mean?" I could feel her eyes glare into me.

I coughed a few times and pretended I didn't hear her question.

"Oh look we're here just in time." I turned off the car.

"Ryan answer me," She grabbed my hand just as I was about to open the door. "What do you mean not anymore?"

Not anymore because he is dead!

"I left the team." I kept my real response in my head. I would be crazy to tell her that Cody Smallwood was dead because I told my mom to do so.

"But why? You were only with them for probably a week and you didn't ever get a chance to play your first game in the team."

"Look Sammy can we just enjoy the night and leave the questions for some other time?" I kept myself from snapping at her.

She gave me a small nod and took out her seatbelt. I got out from my side and quickly got to her side to open the door for her.
She was looking at me sadly with her eyes.

"Aw cheer up." I held her hand as she got out from the car. "Tonight is us okay?" I smiled warmly at her.

She smiled back and squeezed my hand.

"I like how that sounds."

"What do you like?"

"Us."

Valerie's POV~

"What do you mean he doesn't live here anymore?!" I snapped.

"Even if he was here, I don't want you here." Norman's mother didn't dare to look at me in the eyes.

After the whole little confession and argument with Estefano, I decided to take one of my midnights walks. And what better way than to pay a little visit to Norman...

"So you're telling me that Norman left to some other place?"

"Well not exactly. Only from here." Norman's mother's eyes started to water.

"Listen ma'am I don't want to be rude but I as his girlfriend need to see him."

"It's the middle of the night." She glared, finally seeing me in the eyes.

"Your son is a man and he needs his woman." I gritted his teeth.

"I don't know what my son ever saw in you." She mumbled.

"What was that?" I growled.

"I- I said I wonder why Norman hasn't told you that he left." She stuttered and covered her lie.
