The Party

"Wow, you look beautiful." Zoe smiled as she grabbed my hand and dramatically twirled me around.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." I tried playing it off cool. But, as I looked at my reflection, I couldn't help but smile.

She worked wonders.

I always thought that teen romance movies  were so extra. The girl shows up to the party. She's nervous and the music picks up. You can practically feel how nervous she is. Heart is beating. Her hands are sweating. She feels out of place. It all seems dramatize.

But now, standing outside Liam's door, I can relate. I could tell Zoe noticed how anxious I was because she reached into her Saint Laurent purse and took out a hip flash.

"You need it to calm down. Just drink a little bit. " Without hesitation, I took a huge sip. Ugh the taste was so bad. I couldn't help but make a disgusted face.

Shit, my throat burned.

With that, Zoe draped her arm around my shoulder and opened the door. It reeked of beer.

"Damnnn Zoe looking good. Whose your friend over there? She's hot."

Evan,a guy in the football team, muttered as he  stood in front of us, barely able to stand in his own feet. He slurred his words a lot. I shyly smiled at him. I was not used to this type of attention.

I guessed he took my smile as something more as he moved between us two and placed his left hand over Zoe. His right on my ass cheek.

"UGHH...get off. We're not interested."

Zoe pushed Evan off sending him to the ground. Guys nearby just stared as we passed them in the hallway. It made me uncomfortable but, I kind of liked the attention.

"Hey baby. I haven't seen you around school before. " A guy slurred as he ran his finger through my hair.

"Get lost Zach. Shouldn't you be eating Madison's face by now."

Zoe barked as she yet again came to my rescue and led me to the kitchen. I gave her a nod, silently thanking her through my eyes.

The kitchen was fairly quiet, nobody was here besides this one guy who was passed out face down on the kitchen table. Zoe followed my eyes and laughed at the scene. She handed me a shot of vodka and pulled out her phone, ready to take a couple snapchats.

"Whose ready to play !!" Someone yelled out from the hallway. Zoe quickly grabbed onto my arm yet again. She really needs to stop doing that

The more she drinks, the harder her grips get.

"We are!" I stare back at her, silently pleading to return to the quiet kitchen. She was too drunk at this point to even notice me. I felt pretty dizzy and I wanted to lay down but we made a promise.

Regardless of anything, we wouldn't leave the other person alone.

"Zoe and...um her friend are gonna play."

He led us into the room next door. What was I getting myself into?

I looked around the room , it was pretty dim with only one source of light. There were a couple of candles in the center and a weird object over them, allowing the light to come off in cool shapes and colors. It looked pretty freaking cool. I looked over at Zoe who was too busy snapchatting. My vision was pretty blurry but I wanted to know who else was in the room. I squinted, trying to recognize a face.

I froze.

Liam Jones was towards my right. I was sitting next to Liam. I was breathing the same air as him. He looked back at me.

Shit. I quickly turned away.

He noticed me staring. Thank God it's pretty dark in here because I felt my face heat up.

Distract yourself, see who else is in the room.

I took a deep breath as I look at the other side of the room. There weren't that many people here.  Probably just six. . Me, Zoe, Liam, the drunk guy who called me "Zoe's friend", two football guys and two other girls.

So..eight. I forgot how to count.

Does alcohol really kill brain cells?

I recognized all of these people because they were known around school. All of them except one girl. She was sitting across from me. I couldn't help but stare at her. It was pretty dim so I'm pretty sure she didn't noticed.

"Okay well let's begin, shall we." Bryce exclaimed as he stumbled towards the center almost stepping on the candles.

What an idiot, I thought.

I couldn't stop glancing at Liam through the corner of my eye. He kept fidgeting. I wasn't sure if he was drunk or not but he couldn't really stay still. He looked sort of nervous. I forced myself to focus on the game but, how can I when Liam freaking Jones, is right next to me.

Minutes pass and I hardly played attention to the game. They were playing truth or dare. It was pretty funny especially when the people playing are drunk

. So far, Zoe was dared to lick something off of a guy's big toe and another guy was dared to make out with a hotdog. They kept daring me to take shots. After my fifth shot , they all just smiled at me. Things started getting really blurry.

I think I saw Liam reached for my hand. He took the shot out of my hand.

"What the fuck Liam, she needs to take her dare. " Evan yelled as he stumbled towards us.

"She drank too much already." Liam calmly replied. His voice had a hint of concern.

Was he worried about me? Why was he the only one helping me out ? Where was Zoe?

I turned to my left and she was practically humping the shit out of Bryce.

"Well then she has to strip if she can't do the dare." Evan smiled as his eyes scanned my body.

"Or I can take the dare for her. That's part of the rule. " My eyes looked over at Liam as he brought the shot to his lips.

"Okay, man. She's more fun if she's drunk." Evan softly muttered as he turned his attention to the girl across from me.

I still didn't know her name.

"Hey beautiful, I dare you to take two shots." He smiled as he poured some on a red cup.

"Two shots, that's nothing." She giggled. Her voice was really sweet.

"I'm impressed." Evan lifted his hands and walked over to me and Liam with a smile plastered on his face.

What was he gonna dare us?
