Chapter 13: Goodbye

Jesse's Pov:

"NO! And that's final!" I yelled.

Things didn't go well this morning. It started like this. We all woke up, ate breakfast and I told everyone to leave. After that we got into a big fight. Petra and I began to shout at each other and the rest of the Order was with her. The only person on my side is Jess.

"Jesse! This is ridiculous!" Petra yelled.

"No it's not! I told you before that this is something me and Jess need to do alone! You guys need to understand that!"

This was wasting time, me and Jess need to keep going now.

"ENOUGH!! YOU GUYS NEED TO LEAVE NOW!!! AND THAT'S FINAL!!!!" I yelled on top of my lungs that it hurt my throat and my face turn red because of anger.

Everyone stared at me with scared looks. Jess then turn to the others and then at me again . She sighed.

Petra's Pov:

"ENOUGH!! YOU GUYS NEED TO LEAVE NOW!!! AND THAT'S FINAL!!!!"

I backed away a little and gave Jesse a frighten look. I had never seen Jesse get this mad before and I never heard his voice get this high before.

Jess looked at us and then at Jesse. She then sighed.

"Jesse calm down."

Jesse looked at Jess and he began to calm down and growled.

"Look guys, Jesse is right. You guys can't be apart of our problem. Go to your horses and go back to the temple."

We all looked at Jess except Jesse who turned his back on us with his arms crossed. I sighed in defeat. It was useless now, we can't convince the twins to take us to help them. I guess the only choice we have is to go home and wait for the best.

"But Jess-" started Lukas until he was interrupted by Jess.

"I'm sorry Lukas, but you all need to understand. Go back to the temple now."

I saw Lukas and Jess let tears fall. Lukas quickly ran to Jess and gave her a tight hug. I saw Jess hug her back. Axel and Olivia turned around to their horses and got ready to leave. I saw Lukas and Jess share a kiss before Lukas went to his horse. 

As for me though, I looked at Jesse who still had his back turned and had his hands crossed. I went to him and hugged him tightly, he didn't turned back and he didn't spoke a goodbye. 

"I-i'm sorry Jesse, I just wanted to help." I let go of the hug and turned around.

I felt a hand grab mine and it pulled me to another body. I saw that it was Jesse. He gave me a hug and I returned it.

"I know you want to help Petra, but you need to understand that you can't always help someone. I want you to be safe, whether you like it or not."

I buried my head on to his chest and began to let tears fall. I felt Jesse rub his hand onto my back. I pulled back with tears finally stopping. Jesse gave me a warm smile and gave me a peck on the cheek.

"I'm sorry Petra for snapping at you, now go to rest of the group. And before you go I want you to promise me something."

"What is it?" I asked as I wiped away tears.

"If me and Jess don't come back, I want you to become the new leader of the group."

"W-what?!"

"Not just that, I want you to find new love too."

I stood there in shock, I can't believe Jesse is trying to make me promise these things. Taking the place as the new leader is something I can handle, but finding new love? No way! Jesse is my only love. No guy will replace him.

He lifted my chin. "Promise?" he asked.

I gave him another hug. "I-I promise."

I saw him smile weakly as he held his tears. He gave me a peck on my lips and I turned around to my horse.

"Goodbye guys, take care." I heard Jess say as we began to make the horses gallop back home.

I looked back and saw the twins turned around and continue their way to the temple of souls.

"Goodbye guys, hope we see you again."

A/N: Ok so I said updates will go slow right? Well, it turns out I don't have homework...yet. Ugh homework. So I will type on my free time and hope I don't have too much homework. I mean come on. Who loves homework? No one does. Anyway see you guys later.
