I woke up, still on the same road I blanked out on. Things were blurry, slowly fading back into what it really is. I saw a blurry figure. I couldn't quite make it out. I looked harder. I sat up to get an even better look. As things were almost normal again, I saw Barbara. Her curly hair was masked in a gooey substance that has tinted her hair. Her clothing had been torn apart and completely demolished.
"Barbara?", I said kinda loud.
"How do you know my name...?"
I just smiled back.
We exchanged some looks and then I said, "You know where you are right?"
"Not exactly. But I've been here for a few weeks now. That's all I know."
"How did you get here?"
"Well, all I remember is a party I had with my best friend, Nancy and---"
I interrupted her, "Nancy? Mikes sister?"
"Yeah. But anyways--"
"Do you know how to get there?!?"
"Well yeah, she's my best friend."
I stood up, "Come on."
We both walked until we came across a neighborhood. It was cold and empty. No one was here. We walked the whole way through the decayed neighborhood and into a town. Everything was destroyed. It was rotting. It was empty. There was completely nobody to run the place. Me and barb walked through the small town until we saw another pathway to a neighborhood.
"This is the road Nancy's house is on.", Barb exclaimed.
We ran towards the empty neighborhood. Barb ran down a few more blocks and pointed out Mikes house. I stopped for a moment, I needed to breathe.
"You know there isn't gonna be anyone in there? Trust me, I've tried to get help before.", Barb said.
"Yes."
I looked up and I was ready to go inside. I gave Barb a look that said, "I'm ready."
