(Mikes POV)
It was lunchtime. The cafeteria flooded with kids, me and my friends first to get our lunch. Today, we had some sort of sandwich and a side of mushy corn. And of course, like every other day, Dustin asked the lunch lady for some pudding.
"I know you've been hoarding that stuff!"
"SCRAMBLE KID!"
"Give. Me. The. Pudding. NOW."
"Dust--", I tried to bud in, but had been cut off.
"NOW!"
"Dustin, get going.", One of the teachers said.
We left and immediately picked an empty table to sit at. Of course, we were the biggest losers of the school, having to sit in the back.
"Woah, Dustin! Chill on the pudding, man!", Lucas said.
"Lucas, you know I love that stuff. Admit it, you do too!"
"Well...."
Dusting punched him in the arm. "It's okay man, I'll get it all when she finally decides to tell the truth!"
"So Will, what's going on with you and Jennifer?", I said.
"Nothing, why?"
"Just wondering.", I said laughing, making the others laugh too.
"Well, what's going on with you and Eleven?", Will said.
"...Nothing."
"Suuuuuurrre", Lucas said.
"C'mon, guys. Seriously?"
"You been suckin' faces?", Dustin said.
"WE'RE 13 DUSTIN! SHUT THE HELL UP!"
"Gross.", Will said, always being the most mature of us.
"Well, it is reasonable.", Said Dustin.
"How?", I said, a little angry with them.
Lucas and Dustin looked at each other.
"Dude. You were completely depressed when she.....left.", Lucas said.
"Yeah! And, when I came into the bathroom that one time, you guys were like two inches apart!"
"Really?", Lucas said.
"Ye--"
'SHUT UP! OKAY? Seriously, I'm done!", I said, my face getting hot.
They both shared a glance, and nobody but Will wanted to talk to me. I felt like the bad guy now. I just don't want my friends knowing. But, I won't be able to keep this up for long. What am I gonna say, she's my new sister?
"Sorry, man.", Will said, eating his apple slices.
"It's fine.", I said, giving Lucas and Dustin an angry glare.
"What?!", Dustin said. I heard him mumble, but was unable to clearly understand the words.
Yep, soon enough, my friends are gonna know. And then, my parents. I won't like that a single bit.
