(Mikes POV)
It was the morning, we were both spread across the floor, pillows and blankets everywhere. We were exhausted. I'm sure it was Elevens first time staying up until four A.M.!
I shook El. "Hey. El. It's time to get up. We slept in. Come upstairs when you're ready, okay?"
"Yeah.", She said, still half asleep.
I ran up the stairs only to see my mom and Nancy. Was I in trouble? What happened?
"Is something wrong?", Nancy said.
"You're asking me? I thought we had school!"
"No dummy! It's saturday, stupid!"
"Stop it Nancy! Enough!", Mom said.
I wasn't hungry, but I'm sure El is. I made Eggos, once again. It always feels good to make her happy. To give her what she wants. I'm pretty sure that's what boyfriends and girlfriends do, right?
I popped the eggos into the toaster and jumped on top of the counter to wait for them. I sat there for about 2 minutes before they popped up and made me jump a little. I slid them onto a plate and brought a bottle of syrup down to the basement with me.
"El? You up yet?"
"Yes. Hi Mike."
"I brought you something." She looked at the plate and smiled.
"Thank you, Mike!"
"Your welcome, El. It's saturday today so we can do something if you want to."
"I don't mind."
"Alright then, what about we just stay at home and do stuff here? There isn't much to do out in town."
"Perfect.", She smiled and it warmed me up inside.
I watched her devour her eggos carefully, noticing every little thing she did. She poured syrup in the little holes very carefully, making sure they didn't spill over the top. It was cute though. She finished every last bit of the eggos and when she was done, licked her fingers.
"Thank you, Mike. It was really good."
"Yeah, no problem. You wanna do something?"
"Sure.", She smiled and we stood up.
We walked up to my room.My bed wasn't made, and there were clothes all over the floor. It was quite messy, but she didn't seem to mind.
"Sorry, it's really messy. I haven't got a chance to clean it lately with all the homework I get on a daily basis."
"Homework....?"
"Oh! Yeah. It's um... stuff you get assigned to do in school. It's like what you do in school, except you bring it home to do it. Personally I don't like it. You probably won't either."
"..no?"
"Yeah. It's really hard sometimes. Also it can be boring."
"Oh."
She walked around, like she did last time she was here, and started to examine my stuff. She looked really entertained. She picked up a few of my things, to get a better look too.
"Oh yeah! That's from when me and my friends went to camp together a few summers ago. It was pretty awesome."
"..camp..?"
"It's where you go to this place with a bunch of other kids and you basically live there for a week or even a month. It's really fun."
"Can we go?"
"When summer's here, maybe."
"Why not today?"
I laughed, "El, it's too cold for all of the activities we get to do there, like swimming and kayaking..."
"Swimming?"
"Oh yeah, I should probably teach you soon, for the summer."
"Cool."
She finally sat down and started to look through my picture box. She really enjoys those. She looked at the one of me and Nancy at one of our family reunions, a picture of me and Lucas in the fourth grade. She also saw an old family photo.
"...Mike...Who is... who is this?!"
