Chapter 3: First Day of School

Narrator

Beep-beep beep-beep

The alarm clock rang waking amethyst up. She turned off the alarm clock got up and went to the bathroom to get ready for school. She soon came out wrapped around a towel, she went to her room to get dressed. She decided to wear a  t-shirt that said 'Pumas are cool' and a pair of ripped jeans. One she was ready she walked down the stairs to the kitchen were she was greeted by her mother and Lil brother, steven.

"Goodmorning amethyst." Said the familiar voice of Rose. "I left you breakfast on the table, it's almost time to for school so hurry up, I would drive you there but I gotta go to work. Bye, love you." She said as she gave amethyst and steven a kiss on the cheek before leaving to her job. She works as a kindergarten teacher.

Just as Rose left there was a knock on the door, steven went to answer it and saw it was connie. "Hey connie were almost ready we just gotta wait for amethyst"said the young boy.

"You two go on ahead I'll catch up to you, don't want to be the reason you're late, I know how excited you two are for the first day of school." the lavender haired girl answered as she started to eat her breakfast. Steven then nodded and left. She then finished eating, put the dishes in the sink, grabbed her book bag and left the house, locking the door behind her.

Amethyst POV

First day of school, great, notice my sarcasm there. I checked the time and saw it only had a few minutes left. I better hurry up if I wanna get to school on time. I started running and I  soon spotted steven and connie walking to school holding hands. "Hey guys wait up" I yelled as I ran towards them.

"So are you guys excited for the first day of school. I am, I'm so glad to finally be back in school." Connie said.

"I sure am." Steven said with his usual cheerful tone.

We soon made it to school, we went to the principals office and got our schedules: first period english, second period history, third period algebra, lunch, fourth period P.E, Fifth period arts, last period chemistry. Steven and connie almost have every class together. 'Lucky,' I thought. The bell rang. "Well see you two lovebirds later" I said leaving to go to my first period while they just stood there blushing from what I just said.

I finally made it to homeroom. I sat in the back row next to my friends, Jasper and Topaz. The teacher walked in the class room and said."Goodmorning class, today we have a new student with us. Come on out and present youself." At that moment a girl walked in the class room.  She looks familiar, ugh I can't see her face clearly 'cause she's looking to the floor and I'm to far away. I know I've seen her before. The girl then looked up and when I saw her face I my breath got caught in my throat and started to blush. It's her, the girl I ran into the other day.

"Hi my name is Peridot, I'm 15 but birthday is coming up soon so I'll be 16, I love to read, study,play video games and build stuff and that's all there is to know about me." She said in a low shy voices that was so adorable. She quickly took a seat next to blue haired girl. Jasper mentioned her before I think her name is lapis lazuli.

1 hour later

Lapis and peridot talked all the time during class. Maybe their friends or what if they like each other, WAIT, WHAT IF THEY'RE DATING!!! I started to panic but then I calmed down.

Okay Amethyst calm down your thinking ahead of yourself, besides even if they are dating why would that affect me I don't even know a thing about her. Whatever I gotta get to second period. "Ring". I better hurry up or I'm gonna be late. I started running down the hallway until.......BOOM! I had run into someone and fallen over them I look down and see I'm in top of peridot. I had run into peridot..........again.

"Oh, um, sorry" I said as I got off of her. "We got to stop meeting like this." I said as I helped her up.

"T-thanks" she mumbled picking her stuff up. I decided to help.

"Let me help" I said as I started to pick her books up.

"Hey can you help me find my classroom it's 2-g"she asked. What luck that's just where I was going.

"Oh, cool we're in the same class.   Just follow me." I said walking to our class.

"Amethyst you're late. Explain yourself." Mr. Jamie sneered at me.

"I was helping the new student to her class. Isn't that right?" I said looking at peridot. She nodded in return.

"Very well then, but tomorrow I expect both of you here on time" he said.

After a boring hour of history it was time for algebra the second most boring class of them all. But it seems that to peridot it's one of the best class. During history of asked her about her schedule were almost together in every class.

And another boring hour of class. Finally lunch time. I went to the cafeteria got my food and went to find my friends. Once I found were they we're I sat down in-between pearl and Jasper. Jasper, topaz, pearl and garnet we're all sitting together but someone's missing. "Hey where is connie and steven?" I asked.

"Probably decided to eat with their other friends." Garnet answered.

Peridot's POV

It's lunch time and decided to go surprise steven. I saw him and a girl walking down the hallway together. I sneaked up behind him and said. "Boo!" He jumped up and turned around and when he saw me his eyes opened like plates and started to tear up and he then jumped on me sending both of us crashing to the ground.

"PERIDOT, I can't believe it it's actually you." He said still thitly hugging me and crying at the same time.

"I missed you too, Steven." I said he finally let got and got up and helped me up as well. "So are you going to introduce us." I said pointing at the girl next to him and then to me.

"Oh yeah, Connie this is Peridot, Peridot this is Connie my girlfriend." Hey announced.

"Really! It's nice to meet you. You two make a cute couple." I said and gave connie a wink and whispered to her. "Take good care of him." I whispered. Connie nodded and said 'always' while putting an arm around steven, while steven just stood there confused.

"Let's go to lunch and meet up with lapis we can catch up over there and you two can get to know each other." Steven said referring to me and connie.

"Okay". We both said in unison as we walked to the cafeteria

A/N: I  didn't know how to end this chapter so........ I'm in school and I got the next 4 hours off so the 4th chapter might be today who knows. Lov ya bye.💚💜
