What happened to you? He asked slowly stepping back.
You know, I've been asking myself that a lot lately. Life didn't happen, I answered back.
He didn't know what I meant. He asked me what are you talking about.
I told him, I wasn't living, stuck in a constant state of nothing.
Of course he didn't understand. All he said was, you are insane.
I told him, and you're vain without the capability to change.
He took a step back from me, yelling at me to quit thinking that way. You are mental. You aren't the same as the girl I used to know.
I began to cry I think, I remember wet fell on my cheeks. I told him, you never knew me at all.
So we both walked away, hoping to never see each other again, or maybe in a life where I was happy, and he was able to understand.
