The words on the white page
Have left me sitting here
With an irregular heartbeat
And rebellious waterworks
When words have the ability
To escape the page
And into the hearts of witnesses
Into mine as well
They find a new home
I embrace them
Welcome them in
Thankful for the beautiful words
For becoming apart of me
