Choice // An Eevee the pokemon story

Chapter 6

"Shall we battle at the gym today? You guys need to practice too!" I asked while I wipe my wet hair with a towel. "Eevee!" "Vaporeon!" Both of them agreed. "Fine, lemme dry my hair first." I took out a hair dryer and started to blow my hair dry.

After I finish, we all went to the nearest gym. Which is about 10 minutes walk from here. The gym is huge! I saw many people walking into the gym with their Pokemon.

I got to the receptionist and a worker greeted me. "Hi, can I sign up for the battles?" I asked politely. "Sure! Please scan your Pokedex here." The worker pointed at a screen on the counter. I did what he told me to. "You're a beginner, so you'll be going to the first hall." He motioned me to go to the first hall.

We three walk to the hall and saw many people there. There's a lot beginner Pokemons like Oddish, Jigglypuff, Froakie, Hoppit and more. As I make my way into the hall, some people stared at Swirlz and Vaporeon. Why are they looking at me weirdly?

"Wow, a Vaporeon! That's rare for a beginner! Why don't you battle my Pidgeotto with your Vaporeon?" A girl suddenly approach me. She has dark blue, short hair with neatly trimmed bangs. "An evolution verses another third level evolution? Sure." I replied.

We walked to a pokemon battle court. Some other people followed us, maybe they just wanna see us battle. "Ok, I'll be the refree. The match ends when either pokemon is unable to battle!" A boy convinced. "Ok!" Me and the girl said in unison.

"Use Gust Pidgeotto! Let's go!" The girl shouted. Pidgeotto flew up to the air and zoomed down to Vaporeon. "Dodge it quick!" I yelled. Instead of banging onto Vaporeon, Vaporeon managed to dodge it. Pidgeotto flew up to the air and flap it's wings, waiting for its trainer's command.

"Vaporeon! Use Water Pulse!" I pointed at Pidgeotto. Vaporeon hopped into the air and casted out a water-like beam towards Pidgeotto. "Pidgeotto, use whirlwind!" Pidgeotto casted out a strong wind, causing Vaporeon's attack to fail.

"Now use Twister!" The girl shouted. Pidgeotto flew up to the sky and flew in circles. Causing a Twister that blew Vaporeon into it. "Vaporeon!" I shouted and clenched my fist.

That's a well-trained Pidgeotto! "Ok Vaporeon! Use Water Pulse!" Vaporeon used it's remaining strength and casted out a water-like beam, causing the Twister to mix with the water. Now the twister has became a water twister.

"Now use Hydro Pump!" I shouted. "Vaporeon!" Vaporeon shouted. She suddenly shoots out a water and destroyed the Twister. Vaporeon broke free, both of the Pokemons hopped down to the ground.

"There's no doubt you're strong!" I told the girl. "But I'm still gonna win! Vaporeon, use Water Pulse!" Vaporeon hopped into the air and use its tail to create a huge Water Pulse. "We'll just see, Pidgeotto! Use whirlwind!" The girl shouted. Pidgeotto casts out a wind.

Both of the Pokemon attacks collided together and formed a huge 'bang' with smokes coming out. The smoke slowly dissapeared and the Pokemons are clearer to be seen. And after the smoke went off, Pidgeotto laid on the ground with spiral-eyes, fainted. While Vaporon, standing there weakly.

"Pidgeotto is unable to battle! Vaporeon wins!" The boy as the refree says. "Aww man, I lost! But that battle is great!" The girl took her hand out for me to shake. "My name's Hayley, nice to meet you." I grabbed her and and shook it. "I'm Rachel, nice to meet you too!"

"That battle is great! Hope we'll have the chance to battle again next time." She smiled. "Sure!" I replied. I walked towards Vaporeon. "You did a great job Vaporeon!" I rubbed her head. "Let's go back."

The three of us walked back to the Pokemon Center to get a check up for Vaporeon. "She's fine now! Both of them are good." The nurse passed me two pokeballs. "Ok thank you! Come on out guys!" I replied to the nurse and clicked open the Pokeballs, which forms Vaporeon and Swirlz. "Eevai!" "Vapo! Vapo!" Both of them spoke.

"Let's go back to the hotel now!" I smiled to them and walked back to the hotel together.
