Chapter 7 :

(Ellie's POV)

I ran home pumped with adrenaline knowing that I would be seeing Harry soon, the memories of me and him flooding through as the excitement of seeing him was building up within me. But then ruining my excitement a little was the memory of the last time I saw him.

"You need to go, he's going to kill you " I begged bursting into tears not wanting him to leave but knowing he would be safer if he did. We were in the middle of the city village, the open space was quiet but the shops and street lights were bright and dazzling. He looked rough and the loss of energy was radiating from him like he was going to die. He looked exhausted, beaten and the bruises all over his body proved he was weakening.

"I'm not going to let him win, I'm not letting you go" he said holding my hand tighter looking deeper into my eyes. I closed my eyes tight taking in his heart felt words. The heat was crazy but this feeling was making me colder than ever.

"I love you Harry" I said before he pulled me in, his arms wrapping around me as he kissed me pushing his lips against mine.

"One day you'll be able to tell me that again, in this space right here, possibly even dancing under the stars." He replied making me smile. The moment was romantic and exciting but we quickly got out of the trance by the sound of a gunshot. We turn to face the noise and saw my dad and his colleagues come in with shotguns.

"Dad. Please don't do this" I begged standing in front of Harry to protect him. I looked shattered and shaken. I knew standing in front of him wouldn't protect him, but I knew it would give him time.

"We're doing this for you. Vampires and witches can't be together, One day you will understand why. " he said as his colleagues rose their guns as he put his hand out, telling me he was going to use his magic. Not realising that Harry had grabbed my hand, he ran us vampire speed to our hill to get away. When we came to a stop, I saw my mum standing there not looking pleased.

"Mum! You need to stop dad! He's gone crazy" I explained running up to her as Harry tried to regain his energy. When she didn't answer me as she looked at the ground, I knew she wasn't listening. I couldn't believe at my age I had to still listen to my parents, for them to be involved in my relationships, it was ridiculous.

"Mum are you listening to me? Dad has gone nuts" I stated trying to gain her attention. She looked up this time but I could tell she wasn't going to say anything about this subject, knowing full well she was a neutral party.

"Mum!" I shouted getting desperate for her support.

"We're leaving" She stated. Harry's face looked shocked, she was betraying us.

"What do you mean?" I asked not understanding where this had come from. Had she spoken to him about us? Had she finally sided with him?

"It's not safe for you here anymore. You, me and your father are leaving Cottershire to begin a new life. A new chapter." She explained out of the blue. I turned to Harry but he just stood there processing the information, I on the other hand had a different reaction. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

"What? no!" I protested taking a step back away from her, not wanting to hear any more of what she was saying.

"Ellie we have to, it's got to the point where we haven't got a choice. The situation's changed and me and your father both agree that we need to do what's right for you, for our family line and the witches. If we stay, you two will die, and I want you to live honey" She said putting her hands together, her body language telling me she had made her decision. I just stood there not wanting to move as she told me this.

"I'll let you two have two minutes to say goodbye" she said before she left to go down the hill. I turned to look at Harry in desperation who's eyes had welled up.

"I'm not leaving you, we can get on a plane and start again somewhere else. Somewhere away from them and we'll be okay." I stated taking is hands bringing them to my heart. My body was shaking as the wind hit my skin but the adrenaline was keeping my body hot.

"I love you so much" he said, his voice starting to croak. What was he telling me? Goodbye? No

"Harry, this is nuts I'm not saying goodbye, not now, not ever" I replied making a point of not giving up on us. He didn't respond for a while, instead he took my hands and begun to slow dance with me as the rain started to drip onto us. Taking up most of our time in our serenading of a dance, he stopped us and looked deep into my eyes an our foreheads touched.

"What are you doing? We've got to leave. Now. Before my dad reaches us" I panicked tearing away from the dance. His body went still and strong, he had made his decision.

"I'll find you. I promise" He said taking my hands once again and placing them to his lips in defeat.

"Harry I'm not going anywhere. Wherever I go, you'll be there." I argued as I started to cry, I needed him to not put his defence up, I needed him to make me stay with him. He dropped our hands and pressed his lips onto mine with force. I looked over at my mum trying to make this madness stop, but instead she nodded telling me I had no more time left.

"Wait no, we have more time, that wasn't even a minute." I spoke, my voice croaking and cracking. I turned back to Harry watching the defeat in his eyes take over him. His hand began stroking my cheek which then led to my hair as our foreheads touched taking in the moment. I placed my hand on his arm and my other on his chest. And after what another minute felt like seconds, I felt him let me go and take a step away from me. I looked towards my mum who had nodded to say it was time.

"No please no" I begged taring my eyes away from her. I looked at Harry wanting him to try and run away with me but he stood still closing his eyes.

"No please don't do this. No!" I screamed as she pulled me away from him, Harry standing there not being able to do anything. I was erratic trying to pull myself away, but my mum's magic was pulling me back like a lasso.

"Ellie!" He called coming out of his shock trying to chase after me, but I could tell my mum had cast a spell to make him stay bound to where he stood. I watched as he tried with his strength to leave the space he was stuck to so he could protect me. I pulled away trying to run back towards him but before I knew it, she clapped her hands transporting me to a mysterious dark room, leaving me crying heartbroken.

"No" I begged falling to the floor not wanting this to be real.
