Chapter 17:
(Ellie's POV)
Harry was acting weird. Ever since he came back from wherever he disappeared to, his whole demeanour had changed.
"Harry, I'm not even fully dressed. What are you doing?" I spoke as he opened the front door. What was he doing? Why were we going outside. What happened with Liam to make him this way? He took a hold of my hand and I knew straight away something was wrong. His hand was warm. Hot even. Vampires are naturally cold blooded beings because they are dead. Their hearts don't beat so they can't pump the blood around their body which generates heat. He was pulling me down the stairs and I knew I was going to trip by how aggressive he was being.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked being cautious and weary of what he was going to do next. He smiled and then with the click of his fingers, we were transported in the old witches quarter crossroads, in the centre of the road. He didn't say anything back , instead he just turned around taking each step with a shaky movement.
"I don't know who you are but you are not Harry." I state. He didn't respond due to his shaking becoming more sudden and heavy like he was having some sort of attack. I took a couple of steps towards him unsure of what to do. I turn to walk away getting a little freaked out, knowing I was in a trap. But before I could walk away, I am suddenly on the floor being held down by who I thought was Harry.
"Who are you?" I question trying to move out of the way. He stands up and literally pulls off his face, the gore of the slim that the mask left was like residue on his skin, revealing his true colours.
"You should know, I did say I'll come back for you" He answers as a flashback forms in the back of my mind.

Being 18 and in my final year of College was tiring enough and to make matters worst, my parents were on at me all the time along with us hiding with the issues the supernatural being public. Anyone at College who was a supernatural being like a witch, wolf or a vampire all stayed quiet and hung out with each other. My boyfriend Tom was an amazing boyfriend but my feelings had changed the closer we were getting towards the end of the school year.
It feels more forced because of our parents than us actually feeling in love or any romantic connection. I walked through the school corridor when I heard his voice call out in front of me taking my attention and the people around me, everybody watching him jog towards me.
"Ellie!" He shouted as he ran up to me. Once he was in front of me, he kissed me briefly. I tried to feel something, putting a little effort into the kiss to make me smile but instead it made me feel worse. I looked into his eyes, his short hair was effortless and I knew a lot of girls around me would love to be dating him more than I did.
"Hi" I muttered now finding it really difficult to pretend everything is okay between us. I was going to do it later but I don't think I can act anymore like we're happy and alright, it wouldn't be fair on him.
"What's up?" He asked picking up on my tone.
"We need to talk." I stated taking a step back as the crowd around us lost their gazes on us and continued on with their lives. He smiled not knowing the bomb that I was about to throw at him.
"Well I have class in five but we could skip if you want to have a little fun or-" He ranted before I interrupted him.
"-I don't think this is working out " I said. He stood still in shock at what I was saying.
"Is this you trying to break up with me again?" He asked reminding me of my previous failed attempt of breaking up with him. I tried a couple of months ago but I felt so bad about it and his dog had just died that I couldn't go through with it until the end and we pushed past it.
"I'm sorry. It's just I don't like you the same way as I used to and I don't want to lead you on anymore" I explained holding tight of my folders feeling anxious and worse off for doing this to him.
"So this is over? This is how it ends?" He quizzed raising his voice, this causing people to turn their heads.
"I was going to tell you later." I commented trying to make it a lighter subject and failing miserably.
"That's bullshit Ellie." He said, getting worked up.
"Tom I'm sorry." I apologised not knowing what to say to make this situation better.
"No you're not. You're sorry that you know you're hurting me once again." He whispered. I closed my eyes feeling the guilt of what he was saying. Because he was right, that's exactly how I felt about the situation.
"Tom" I trailed but he shrugged it off trying to play it cool and ignore everything I said.
"You know our parents will have a fit about this." He stated reminding me that this was an arranged relationship.
"I know but it can't be with you for the sake of them."
"I'm not going to let this end us. I'm going to fight for us." He said as his temper rose.
"You'll be the only one fighting" I commented looking into his tear filled eyes. I hated how this was the end of us but I didn't regret it.
"We'll talk later." He stated turning around to walk away down the corridor away from me and my direction.
"I am sorry" I called down the hall but instead he put his middle finger up at me, using his magic to create a gush of wind that blew away from folders from my hands and papers from everyone in the corridor. Real mature.

"Tom." I uttered standing up now I know my bearings.
"Bingo!" He pointed, his voice deep and dark trying to scare me but failing.
