Sleepy Hollow Police Department

Detective Peter Williams was having his sixth coffee of the morning, looking over the file on his desk. Last night, he was called out to a body that was found on the farmer just outside of Tarrytown. The body was able to be identified by finger prints to be Coach Ericka Kingston, the JV coach for the middle school.

But the kicker was that her head was missing.

A clean cut, but there was no sign of the head anyway on the farm. It was like it disappeared as soon as it was cut off.

The reason Peter was on the case was because the first time this happened, their family moved down to Sleepy Hollow. Kat was ten, Jarred and Tabitha were 14, and Peter was suggested to go to the sleepy town to figure out the murders, but he couldn't.

"Williams," the detective looked up to an officer. "Your wife's here. And she looks a little pissed." He told her. Peter tilted his body, seeing his wife was, indeed, pissed off. If she could shoot flames from her ears, they would be present. "Should I warn the others about her?" The officer asked, a tad timidly.

Peter shook his head as he stood. The detective approached his wife, gently pulling away from the other cops and detective in the Sleepy Hollow Police Department. "I see imaginary flames, love, what's wrong?" Peter asked.

"Kat."

Closing his eyes, he silently let out a groan. "What'd she do this time?"

"Jarred."

"Jarred?" Peter had to think for a moment – Jarred, out of three kids, was the nicest and barely got in trouble with Marie. "Uh, you are confusing me now, Marie." Peter said.

"Tabitha."

"What have all three of our dearly children have done to annoy the living hell out of you this week, Marie?" Peter asked, trying to bring humor into the conversation. Marie glared. Peter dropped the cheeky grin on his face. "What's wrong?"

"A tattoo." Peter now understood. "A tongue piercing, a nose piercing! Are you insane, Peter?" Marie asked.

"I was going to tell you."

"You allowed and signed off on the top three things I never wanted our kids to get, Peter!"

"And that's why they didn't ask you. If you paid more attention to the kids rather than that...magic you practice – Kat called from the Black Cat to tell me you were up last night after I left – you might have noticed. Jarred took fantastic care of his tattoo, so with Tabitha and her tongue piercing." Peter explained.

"And Kat?"

"Kat is Kat, Marie. She's being a rebel, and at least it's a less noticeable than the other too. Besides, she paid for it by herself, and has been taken extra care of it so it doesn't get infected." Peter explained.

"Peter, I-"

"Williams!" Peter turned to face his boss. "There's another."

"Where?"

"Behind the Black Cat."

"I'll get on it." Peter walked over to his desk, grabbing his jacket and keys.

"Another one?" Marie hissed under her breath. Peter took his wife outside with him, telling the other officers to go without him; he'd meet them there. "Please tell me this isn't happening again." She was holding onto his arm.

"It is."

"This can't be happening. Not again."

"Marie, I think it's time to tell the kids about your tree." Peter said. Marie's head snapped towards him, shooting him a look. "Marie, it's about time. If these are what we are thinking, then the kids are in danger." Peter said.
