Sleepy Hollow High School entrance

All the students were evacuated from the school, parents were called, and so were the cops. Kat stood on the sidewalk right in front of the school with Felix and Remy. Remy couldn't leave until her father left the school – he was called along with Kat's father. Holding onto the charm from lunch, Kat watched as cops entered and exited the school with ease.

Two murders in two days.

Something wasn't right with Sleepy Hollow.

Kat glanced over to her brother; he was with his football jocks. They were on the backfield, practicing for the homecoming game coming up in two weeks. They were still in their practice uniforms, confused about what was going on. No one was allowed back into the school, so the teachers continued to get the supplies and bags for the students that left them inside.

"She-she..."

"Don't talk, Rem. Just try and forget about it."

"She didn't have a head!"

"Remy, hush." Felix was trying to calm Remy down, but it was impossible with what she saw. "Let's not to scare the other students who don't know," Felix hissed, making her sit down on a large rock that was there. Remy pressed her face into her hands, trying to control herself with what she just saw.

"I didn't think it was real – any of this."

"Any of what?" Kat commented, looking at the doors. She was looking for her father; she was going to find out what was going on with or without her father's involvement.

"The beheadings. It's starting again." Remy whispered, tears filling her eyes. Kat turned her attention to the redhead, confused. Looking at the top of Remy's head, Kat knelt in front of her, still clinging onto the charm, feeling the metal press into her palm.

"It's starting again? What's starting again?" Kat asked gently.

Remy looked up at the rebel, looking so disappointed and scared. "The legend of Sleepy Hollow is real, Kat. I've seen it before. But that was five years ago right when you arrived to town, the same day Sean Harris left. After he left, they stopped. Now that he's back, they've started up again." Remy explained, shaking her head, feeling a shiver go down her back.

"I doubt an eighteen-year-old can behead people." Kat rolled her eyes, obviously not believing Remy. Remy shoved Kat hard, making her fall straight onto her ass, dropping the pentagon charm. The redhead gasped, pointing to the metal charm in on the sidewalk. She began to tremble.

Kat quickly grabbed the charm before Remy had a panic attack.

"What's going on over here?" Jarred asked, helping his sister up from the ground. He shot a glare at Remy, she pouted before burying her head into her hands again. "What happened?" He turned his attention to Kat.

"Mrs. King."

"What about her?"

"She was killed. An hour after we saw her." Kat explained, glancing to Remy. Jarred turned his head towards Remy, seeing how upset she was acting – which was odd. She hated the principal and most of the adults at the high school, so showing sympathy for the principal was odd to begin with. "Rem found her."

"I'm taking you three home with me."

"But-"

"No buts Kat, ass in the car now. You too, guys." Jarred said, grabbing their things for them. Kat huffed, arms crossed as she walked towards Jarred's car. The students who could drive were allowed to leave school for the day.
