*Katie's POV*

"So how did it go?" Maddie asked me eagerly. She had barged into my room and woke me up to ask me about my 'date'.

"It...went" I shrugged yawning.

"What did you do? Tell me everything, did you kiss?" She shook me to wake me up properly.

"Honestly, I don't know if there will be a second one" I shrugged pushing the hair out of my face.

"What? Why?" Maddie almost shouted.

"The whole of the date, it just reminded me of Calum, everything he done, was something Calum would have done"

"I thought you were over him?" Maddie raised an eyebrow and looked at me.

"I am, I'm completely over him, 100%" I scoffed nodding, "It was just..weird"

"Yup okay K, whatever you say" She sang and walked out of the room as I followed her.

"I'm so over him Mads" I nodded.

"Okay" She nodded sarcastically, "Whatever helps you sleep at night."

My date with Alex was pretty awkward, every time he did something that Calum would have done the conversation died.

I pulled out my phone and texted him.

Katie: Hey thank you for last night, I had fun:)

Alex is typing...

I stared at my phone screen watching the words. A minute passed and it still said the same as I sat down at the table.

When 3 minutes passed I looked down at it disappeared. I expected the message he had been typing to come through but I was wrong.

Nothing came. After watching for another few minutes nothing came and all that was there was the 'read' icon.

I sighed and pushed my phone away from me on the table.

"THEY CAME" Maddie's loud voice sounded through the apartment. Honestly I didn't know how her neighbours hadn't complained.

"What came?" Jake asked from the kitchen as he put breakfast on the table.

"The prize, for the competition" She said holding an envelope in her hand.

I picked up a pancake and began to eat it as we watched Maddie open it.

"What is it?"

"Tickets to a concert, Katie you have to come with me" She said.

"Nah, Jake can go" I nodded.

"No can do, I have to head to England for my work for the week" He shrugged.

"Do I have to?" I said pulling a strange face.

"Yes!" She said, "You're coming and you'll enjoy it."

"When is it?" I asked.

"Tonight" She said squealing as I rolled my eyes and ate my pancake.

----

"Well, if you would tell me who's concert this is, I would know what to wear" I shrugged.

"No, it's a surprise, just wear casual clothes" She shrugged applying some lipstick.

I groaned and went in and changed into my black ripped jeans with a top that Maddie threw in and a casual brown jacket.

I couldn't look more casual if I tried.

"Is this casual enough for you?" I joked as Maddie nodded.

After straightening my brown hair, I applied my mascara and eyeliner, I never needed my foundation anymore as my tan was dark enough.
