*Katie's POV*

"No, that isn't possible" I shook my head, "I-I took a test about 4 weeks ago and it said I was" I said, sitting across from the doctor.

"Well, Miss Mitchell-"

"Katie. You can call me Katie" I said, hating the way my second name sounded, it just reminded me of my parents.

"Well, Katie, I can tell you right now that you definitely aren't pregnant. I'm so sorry if you started to plan your future with a new face-"

"No" I said looking down, still confused, "It's okay, thank you" I forced a smile and looked at her as we stood up and she opened the door for me to leave.

I sighed when I got outside and got into my car and started to drive. I pulled up outside Alex's house as I sighed, again.

I hadn't seen or spoke to Alex since he found out about me, the same with the guys, I hadn't seen any of them since my conversation with Calum, I'm guessing he told the rest of the guys about how I was 'starting a new life and didn't need them'. His opinion, not mine.

I pressed the doorbell and waited, thinking of what I was going to say as I looked around at the garden.

The door opened as I spun around and saw Alex, with a new haircut.

He furrowed his eyebrows while seeing me.

"Please don't shut the door, I promise I'll only stay for at leas-"

"Katie, I'm not going to shut the door on you, do you want to come in?" He asked as I looked at him unsure but stepped inside anyway, feeling out of place.

"Look, I don't want to drag this on but I wanted to tell you I'm uh not pregnant.." I said playing with my sleeves.

"What but I thought.." He said furrowing his eyebrows, obviously confused.

"Yeah me too" I shrugged, "I don't even know how this has happened" I continued, a laugh escaping my mouth.

He just looked down, even more confused.

"Anyway, I guess this a good thing right?" I said as he looked up, "I mean, we aren't together anymore so the baby wouldn't, y'know have a full family"

"Yeah, you're right" He nodded as I looked around, swaying.

"I really am sorry Katie" He spoke as I looked at him furrowing my eyebrows.

"You don't have anything to apologise about" I said as he shook his head.

"I shouldn't have just left you like that, especially after finding out you were 'pregnant'" He said, "I was a dick and I'm sorry but I really do hope we can be friends and no, I'm not 'friend-zoning' you, I really want to keep in touch with you" He said as I smiled, deciding to put everything in the past.

"I would like that" I said as he joined me in smiling and pulled me in for a hug.

"So does anyone else know?" He asked as we pulled away.

I shook my head, "Honestly, I haven't actually spoke to anyone for about 4 weeks, I was just worried about the baby" I shrugged, "Where's Vanessa?" I asked, changing the subject from me.

"Wow, you really haven't spoke to anyone.." He laughed, "Vanessa got back together with Michael and the girls joined the guys on tour"

Tour.

"Oh my god, I forgot all about the tour" I said, widening my eyes, "I was meant to be working there, I quit my job here!" I said sighing.

"I'm sure you could just go now" Alex said while I shook my head.
