*Katie's POV*

"Hey this is place is pretty cool" Maddie said as she finished dumping the rest of my bags on the floor. I had moved into my apartment which I was extremely happy with, it had an amazing view of the city.

"Well I guess this is goodbye" Maddie said as she brushed away a fake tear as I laughed and pulled her in for a hug.

"Don't worry, we can facetime and it will be as if I never even left" I laughed as she waved me off at the door, closing it behind her. I decided to start unpacking and decorating the place as I wanted.

I had been busy decorating for longer than I thought as when I finished it was about 4pm.

I sighed and decided to check my phone, seeing I had a text from Luke.

Luke: Hey K, the boys and I are going out for dinner, Becca is coming too but so is Calum, totally understand if you don't wanna come but the offer is there, we need to catch up again :)

I texted him back a couple of times and found out that Calum was bringing 'blondie'. Apparently her name was Amber or something but she was going to be blondie to me.

I felt sick just thinking of the idea of Calum with her but then I realised that I'm way over Calum so I shouldn't let this bother me.

I paced up and down the room trying to think what I could say as I typed my reply,

Katie: Yeah, sure I would love to come, mind if I bring someone?

"Thank you so much for coming" I smiled to Alex as he stepped out his car outside the restaurant.

"Thank you for asking" He smiled as he pulled me in for a hug as I instantly smelled his aftershave from him, "You look good" He replied as he looked me up and down and my cheeks blushed, suddenly feeling self conscious in the tight white dress I had on.

"As do you" I replied, smiling. Honestly, I was acing happier than I actually was.

We walked into the door and were greeted by a waiter as I told him we had people waiting on us. I glanced around the room as I saw them all at a table in the corner.

Everyone else was already here, we were the last.

"Katie!" Becca shouted as she jumped up out of her seat and hugged me which I gladly accepted, "I missed you so much, you aren't leaving me again" She laughed as I did the same.

"Oh everyone this is Alex" I said gesturing towards him as I said hey to everyone.

After hugging Luke, Michael and Ashton I got to blondie.

"Hi there chick, I'm Amber" She said smiling as she held out her hand, knocking over a glass of water as it spilled on the table, "Aw whoopsies" She shrugged as she shook my hand as I tried my best to smile.

Calum was the last one to talk to but luckily Alex got to him at the same time as me so I let him introduce himself.

"Hey man, Alex" He nodded as he shook Calum's hand who just stared Alex up and down as I rolled my eyes.

I took my seat which was next to Blondie and Alex with Calum and Michael in front of me.

After we ordered, we waited for our food to come as the restaurant had live entertainment which was good, it meant I could sit and watch it without having to talk to anyone.

Our food came and I decided to turn back to face everyone else at the table to eat.

As I was cutting up my chicken I tried my best too talk to Alex, honestly I couldn't see things working out with us but I felt bad for inviting him when he didn't know anyone.
