twenty seven

*Katie's POV*

"Katie, get up"

I groaned and opened my eyes, seeing Ashton.

"Let me sleep" I groaned, "What time is it?"

"4am" Ashton replied, removing the blanket.

"I've only slept for 2 hours, stop!" I said, getting angry. I was always like this whenever I didn't have enough sleep.

"The plane leaves soon, we're already late!" He said, dragging me up from my place from the couch. I didn't think I was coming to New York but apparently everyone was and as much as I didn't want to speak to Calum, I wanted to support the boys. Plus I also still had to set up the boys' instruments.

"We packed your stuff K" Luke and Becca said smiling as they put all the suitcases in the lift. Calum was nowhere to be seen so I imagined he was already down.

I ran up the stairs, changing out of my jeans and put on leggings and a jumper before going in the life alongside Vanessa and Ashton.

There were 2 cars waiting to take us to the airport as I made sure to go in the separate one from Calum, wanting to avoid him right now.

In my car there was Maddie, Michael, Ashton and myself. The rest were in the other car.

"What's this concert even for?" I asked Michael.

"It's just like a sort of one-off kind of concert. It isn't in Madison Square Gardens or anything just an indoor venue with a couple of meet and greets in the beginning and things" He replied as I nodded.

We got to the airport and all stepped out of the cars. There were fans lining the outside of the entrance as a couple of the boys stopped for a few pictures. I took this opportunity to walk right by Calum and go inside with the others.

After waiting around we were finally able to board the plane.

"Katie looks like you're next to me and Luke" Becca said as I smiled and nodded, entering the plane.

I took the window seat with Luke in the middle and Becca at the end.

I spent the whole of the plane journey sleeping or watching movies, not really talking to anyone.

When we arrived, I was fully wide awake from sleeping for so long. We got off and I couldn't wait to change into some shorts as black leggings really wasn't a smart idea.

We got into a new car, this time a large one that could fit us all in it. I looked at the clock seeing it was 8:16am.

I was dreading getting to the hotel because I knew it would be Calum and I sharing a room.

"What hotel are we staying in?" Maddie asked.

"It's not a hotel, it's like a house thing" Ashton answered.

I was glad it wasn't hotel rooms because it meant there would be other places to go rather than just one room.

We pulled up outside a large house as everyone rushed out, leaving their bags for now.

Michael opened the door and we all ran in seeing an open plan downstairs, 2 long couches with a massive TV, a kitchen to the right with some bar stools, a couple more doors, probably bathrooms and large doors leading outside.
