(A/N - I'm just gonna be sticking pictures in to describe what I'm talking about so just a heads up.)
- 2 years later -
*Katie's POV*
Two years passing may seem like a long time but those two years were some of the best years I've experienced and went by so quickly.
Calum and I were stronger than ever, especially now with Mason in our lives.
We had decided to take our time with the wedding, there was no reason in rushing it and we wanted to spend the first two years of Mason being born, with Mason.
But now the planning for the wedding was underway and the big day was upcoming.
Next week actually.
Mason was now just over 2 years old and was able to walk, thanks to Calum's training in that field.
He also said his first word which wasn't 'Mama' or 'Papa' but was actually 'drum'. That was thanks to Ashton.
*flashback*
Mason giggled, encouraging Ashton to continue playing the 'air-drums'.
"These are the drums, buddy" Ashton spoke as Mason laughed, "Drums, can you say that?"
"Ashton, stop!" Calum chuckled.
"Drums" Ashton nodded, this was the 6th time Ashton has tried this in the past two days.
Mason moved slightly and Ashton looked at him.
"Drum" He nodded, hitting the imaginary drums.
"Drum" Mason slurred as Calum and I looked at each other in shock. It sounded more like 'dwum' but it was still the closest he had gotten to a word.
"Yes!" Ashton cheered.
"Well done baby!" I cheered picking Mason up who still just laughed.
--
Mason was exactly what you would imagine a mini Calum to look like.
He didn't have much hair but it was obvious it was going to be exactly like Calum's.
He had Calum's nose but my eyes as they were bigger than Calum's.
He was exactly what you would imagine Calum and I combined to look like.
"Ow!" I groaned, tripping over Mason's toy car and picking it up, placing it in the basket of washing I was about to take downstairs to put in the washing machine.
I sat the basket on the kitchen counter as I looked out the back, seeing Calum and Mason sitting on the grass playing with Jamie.
We were hesitant to having Jamie back in our house with Mason as he had obviously grew from the puppy he was.
Although Jamie was fine, he was gentle with Mason and they were fine together. Mason loved to throw the toys for Jamie and would always go with Calum and Jamie to the beach.
Mason shrieked outside as he 'ran' away from Calum, giggling.
I watched through the glass, a smile growing onto my face.
"Come on buddy, bath time" Calum spoke, picking Mason up and coming inside, Jamie following.
I gave Jamie his food and smiled as Calum handed me Mason due to his repetition of the word, "Mummy".
"Are we going to have a bath?" I asked Mason, bouncing him up and down.
I carried him upstairs and bathed him, Calum helping and we proceeded to place him in his bed.
