It's Sunday morning, which means I'm get to sleep in and enjoy the day to myself. Or so I thought.
I walk downstairs to answer the door. My whole morning has just been ruined by the person standing in front of me.
"Are you going to show up to my house unexpectedly like this for the next month?" I ask. Canyon walks in my house, inviting hinself, and turns to face me.
"Well, I am your master for the time being. Bow to me, peasant." He straightens his form, standing tall like a king would.
"I don't understand how you're even popular." I laugh at his reaction. He has this face that says, 'Did she really just ask me that?' before grinning. "What are you even doing here?"
"Since I've already picked you as the girl to be my target this year, you need to meet the other three players of the game." He says, sitting on my end table.
"I'm meeting your friends? Why?" I don't understand why I needed to. I'm not a part of their deal or whatever it is. The only person I need contact with is Canyon, not his whole clique.
"Because you need to get along with them considering you'll be seeing them most of your day." He said. What the hell?
My door bell rang right after. Either it was Canyon's friends or a surprise visit from Kylie. I was hoping it would be Kylie so I would have an excuse to push Canyon out the door. With my luck, it was his friends. Instead of asking to come in, they barge right through my door.
"Tyra, this is Josh, Walker, and Miles. They're the other three players that participate." He introduces us. I recognize two of them from the part Friday night. They were at the drink table when Kylie and I went to get our drinks.
"Hi." I say, right before someone else walks in my house. How many people are going to invite their self in my house today!? To my satisfaction, it was Kylie this time.
"Hey, Ty-" Kylie starts, but ends mid sentence. "Who are they and why are they in your house?" She asks.
"I'm sure you know Canyon. These are his friends, Josh, Walker, and Miles. This is Kylie, my best friend." Canyon flashes a smile, while his friends check Kylie out.
"Hey." They all say, after they practically eye raped her.
"Hey." She smiles. "Before I forget why I even came over, I wanted to make sure your hangover didn't kill you. I blew up your phone all day and I didn't get a single call or text back."
"I texted you back when I woke up. It must not have sent. I'm fine though, as you can see." I say, sarcastically.
"Okay, well I better get to work before I'm late. I don't want to get fired from this job." She hugs me quickly before leaving the house.
"She was hot." Walker says.
"Yeah, she's totally bangable." Josh replies. My nose scrunches in disgust.
"You guys are pigs." I say, earning a laugh from all of them.
"Well, since it's early in the day, what do you all say we do something?" Canyon suggests.
"Like what?" I ask. There isn't much to do on a Sunday here.
"Actually, I have plans with my brother to play hockey." Walker says.
"I have to work on my car before school tomorrow." Miles said. I didn't take him for the type to work on cars.
"I have a date with my bed." Says Josh. I had plans to work on my dance for my recital, but a certain someone decided to ruin them.
Josh, Walker, and Miles left to tend to their needs, leaving just me and Canyon. I thought he would leave too, but I guess he wanted to stay longer.
"So, since it's just us, what do you say we get to know eavh other?" He winks. I scrunch my nose up in disgust. Just the thought of us 'getting to know each other' made me sick.
"You're a pervert." I say. "Tables are made for glasses, not asses. Get your ass off my end table."
"If I were an end table, I'd want you to sit on me." I literally almost gagged to death.
"You really need to filter your mouth." I walk away after I smack him in the back of his head. He laughed before lifting himself off the table. I decided I was going to do my homework, even though it was due Wednesday. There's nothing wrong with being done early.
Canyon followed up the staircase after me. When we reached my bedroom, I went to my desk and he went to my bed, jumping on it. His arms are were behind his head and his feet were crossed.
"Well, don't intrude or anything." I comment sarcastically. He smiled a goofy smile, making me laugh a bit.
"What are we doing today?" He asked.
"Since you decided to stay, you're going to entertain yourself while I do my homework." I hear a snort come from behind me. I know he thinks I'm a nerd, but I don't find myself caring what he thinks.
I hear the TV turn on and voices coming from it. It seemed like it got louder by the second, which distracted me from my assignment.
"Turn it down!" I scream loud enough for him to hear me. I wait for a moment, expecting it to be at a reasonable volume. The voices and sounds seemed even louder than before. I opened one of the desk drawers and pulled out a small roll of tape. I turned around and threw it as hard as could at him, hitting him in his forehead.
"Turn it down!" He laughed, but obeyed this time. After about a half hour, I finished the assignment. I closed my book and walked over to my bed, jumping on it. Canyon had managed to fall asleep while I was working. My level of boredom grew, so I wanted to mess with Canyon while he slept.
I climbed off my bed, trying not to wake him. I had an airhorn in the bottom drawer of my desk. This would be a perfect way to scare him. I held the airhorn in my hand, standing right beside Canyon while he slept. I pushed down on the red bubble, making a loud noise come out. Canyon jumped at least ten feet in the air, sending my renote flying across the room. He looked at me, alarmed. I couldn't contain my laughter. I fell on my bed, holding my sides. Canyon's face straightened, showing no emotion, which inly made me laugh harder.
Soon I was done laughing, just sitting on my bed. "I should go. It's getting late." Canyon said, rising from the bed. He began walking down the hall with me behind him. I opened the door until he walked out.
"Can I get a goodnight kiss?" He asked, smiling.
"No. Now leave." I tried closing the door, but he put his foot in the way.
"At least a hug then, considering I kept you company all day." What is he talking about?
"You annoyed me and fell asleep on my bed." I gave him a straight face.
"You scared the living hell out of me. I think that deserves a hug." Even though it was hilarious, he was right.
"Fine." I really didn't want to hug him, but it was mean of me to scare him like that.
He stepped close until I was in reaching distance. We wrapped our arms around each other. I breathed in, his scent filling my nose. He smelled like heaven. When we pulled away, he smirked.
"Don't dream of me too much." He winked before walking away.
"I'll dream of you when you're actually attractive." I yelled. He laughed before getting in his car and driving away. I locked the door then went upstairs. Before I went to sleep, I needed a shower.
I stood under the water, relaxing. I got out and dressed myself in my night clothes. I went in my room nd turned my TV on after picking the remote up off the floor.
When my head hit my pillows, my body relaxes instantly, sending me into a deep sleep.
