I roll over and throw my arm on the opposite side of the bed. I feel around the empty spot where Canyon should be. I slowly open my eyes. The golden curtains are shining from the sunlight pouring through. The room is illuminated with brightness.
I roll over on my back. I extend my arms and legs, stretching my body. My muscles ached from last night.
My mind started playing back to the events. The way Canyon ran his hands over my body, the way he passionately kissed me, the way he looked into my eyes the whole time. A shiver ran through my body. I need to stop thinking of this.
The bathroom door creaked open. I sat myself up on my elbows. Canyon walked out in just his boxers. His perfectly sculpted abs drew my attention to him. I couldn't help but stare at him.
"Did you get a good enough look?" He smirks. He climbs on top of me from the end of the bed.
"Yes, I did." I smirk back.
He tried to pull the blanket off of me. I squealed and gripped it tightly. "I'm naked!"
He chuckles. "I know. That's why I want the blanket off of you." He grins widely.
"You're a pervert." I mumbled, hiding myself under the blanket.
"You weren't saying that last night." He laughs, rolling off of me.
I pushed the blanket off of my face. I pulled a pillow out from underneath my head. I swung it and smack ed him directly in the face with it. We both laughed.
I caught a glimpse of the digital clock in the nightstand beside Canyon. I had exactly 30 minutes to be dressed and on the bus back home.
I jumped out of the bed without thinking. The blankets fell down and exposed my naked body. A whistle came from behind me. My face burned bright red. I ran to the bathroom and rushed a shower and getting dressed.
The bus ride home was tiring and unbelievably boring. We were all so tired from the game. The game was exhausting, but other things had made me a lot more tired than that.
I threw my bag on the floor in the middle of the living room. I decided to come back home today. I was terrified to see Leah walk through that door. I had been avoiding her for quite some time. I couldn't face her just yet. The pain was too much. I may have let go of Cartwright, but the fact of him sleeping with my aunt, the woman who raised me, was too much to bear.
I was starving from the ride home. Some Mac 'n Cheese sounded so good right now. My stomach grumbled at the thought of it.
I quickly boiled water and poured the noodles in. I patiently waited for them to cook. After they were done, I mixed them with the cheese sauce that came with them.
I sat down at the dining room table to eat. The cheesy goodness was satisfying to my tongue. My hunger soon went away after I ate.
I cleaned my dirty dishes. My exhaustion was making me drag my feet and slouch around. A nice nap and a good movie would make my day much better. It was my lazy Sunday and I was going to spend it doing what it implies.
I make myself comfortable on the couch. I throw a blanket over my body and flick in the television. I searched for a good movie for a few minutes. When I decided on one, I laid the remote on the arm of the couch. I watched the movie for a few minutes before drifting off into a nice sleep.
I woke up to a cold house and a terrible migraine. I needed a pain killer fast. I ran to the medicine cabinet in the bathroom. I took two pills to ease my pain. I adjusted the temperature of the thermostat as well. I swore I turned it on before I went to sleep.
I turned out the light to the bathroom, kitchen, and dining room. I folded the blanket on the couch and put it back in the hallway closet with the rest of the things we stored in there.
Leah hasn't come home yet. I was thankful that I didn't have to look at her right now. My pain was turning into anger. I don't want to do something I'll regret, like hit her. I've never been this angry with her.
As soon as I turned to go up the stairs, the doorbell rang. I had an idea of who it might be. He never leaves me time to myself.
"Canyon, can you not bother me or a few hours?" I yell to him.
I unlock the door and pull it open. My mouth dropped open in shock.
"Hello, Tyra." She said. Her short blonde hair blew in the wind. She had on a black coat, blue jeans, and black heeled boots.
"What are you doing here?" Anger boiled inside of me.
"I came to see my baby girl. I've missed you." She reached out to touch my face. I slapped her hand away as fast as I could.
This skinny blonde standing in front of me was not my Aunt Leah. It was the person that gave me up the second she had the chance to. It's the woman that was supposed to talk to me about boys, the woman that was supposed to tell me about my period, the woman that was supposed to nurture me and love me unconditionally. This woman is my mother and I couldn't handle her being around.
