The constant beeping of my alarm clock wakes me from my comfortable sleep. I groan as I get out of bed.

"I hate Mondays. " I mumble to myself as I walk to the shower. When I reach the shower, I turn the water on and strip myself of my night clothes. I step in the shower and relax for a brief minute before tending to my hair and body.

After my shower, I pick out what I want to wear. I go with a light green pair of skinny jeans, a white long sleeved lace top, lace Toms to match my shirt, and a light green scarf to match my jeans. I throw on my outfit after blow drying and curling my hair.

I put on a little bit of silver eyeshadow to show off my bright blue eyes and some mascara to give my lashes extra volume. When I'm finished, I pick up my bag from my floor and take my car keys from my dresser.

I walk downstairs to the kitchen before I leave. Even though I don't usually eat breakfast, I wanted a pop tart before I left for school. I open the cupboard and grab one out the box. I'm headed toward the front door when I notice a note on the dining room table. I pick it up and read it.

'Tyra, I've been sent to Baltimore for a week for the opening of another restaurant. I know I haven't been home much, but I promise I'll make it up to you. Stay out of trouble and keep your grades up. I love you.
-Aunt Leah'

Leah being gone wasn't a surprise. All she ever really did was work to support me. I appreciate it, but I would love to see my aunt, considering she raised me since I was seven. I sit the note back on the table and leave, locking the door before I go to school.

I pull into the school parking lot 15 yminutes before the bell rings. I ate my pop tart on my way here, so I didn't have much to do before school. I decided I would buy a water from the vending machine in the outdoor lunch area. As I'm grabbing my bag from the passenger seat before I get out of my car, someone bangs on the window. I scream and throw my hands in the air. I look over and see Canyon. I should've known it was him.

"You're such an asshole." I curse at him when I get out the car. I lock my doors and walk away.

"I know. You're the one that's stuck with me for the rest of the school year." He says smiling as he throws his arm around my shoulder.

"I'm only stuck with you for a month?" I question.

"Well, I was thinking last night. Since you have state championship in two weeks for volleyball, I figured I'd give you more time for the tasks. I don't want to stress you out, babe." My mouth drops open in shock. A month with him would be torture as it is, but six months is too long for me to deal with him.

"On first thought, don't touch me. People will stare and begin to talk. Your reputation of being a man whore and my reputation of being a good girl do not mix whatsoever. On second thought, that wasn't the agreement." I said, stopping and pushing his arm off my shoulders.

"Too bad, because there's no way out of it. You're stuck with me for six months whether you like it or not." A smile is plastered on his face. I think I might kill myself before this is over. "So, where are we going?"

"I'm going to get a drink and you're going to jump off a bridge." I smile a fake swet smile before ealking away again.

"You'd miss me too much if I did that, sweet cheeks." I make a gagging noise, earning a laugh from Canyon.

After I buy my drink, I walk to the girl's restroom to brush my teeth. A few girls come and go before I leave to go to my locker.

First all the way to third period was boring. I may pay attention in class and get perfect grades, but that doesn't mean I like waking up at the ass crack of dawn to go to a place that's a prison for teenagers.

The bell rings to dismiss us to fourth period. I started to grow a major disliking to this class ever since the party Friday night because Canyon is in this class with me.

I was the first one in the room, so I took my seat and kept to myself as more people filed through the door. Everyone looks at the door just as Canyon walks in. It's the second month of school. Are they ever going to stop gazing at him?

There's an empty seat beside me today. The guy that sits there is attractive and nice. I wondered where he is today. He never misses school, which worries me a bit. Canyon must have seen the empty seat beside me. He walks in my direction and I find myself hoping he's not going to sit by me. Of course, he plants himself on the chair and smiles at me.

"Thats Ryland's seat, Canyon." I state. Maybe he will move to his original seat.

The late bell rings. "Looks like it's my seat now." He smirks. I drop my head to my desk, hitting it hard. I pick my head up and rub my forehead. Canyon laughs at my idiotic move. I shoot him a glare, quieting his laughter.

The day flew by after that. I didn't have homework tonight since I did all my future assignments for the next week on Sunday. The only thing I had to do today after school was volleyball practice.

I was walking to my car after practice with my bag in my hand. I got and my car and started it. I was home in no time. I didn't live war from school. I could walk, but I take awhile to get ready in the morning and I would be late every morning, which would earn myself a detention.

It was quiet in the house, like usual. It got lonely here since my aunt was always on a business trip or at the restaurant. I'm happy that she's opening restauraunts across the world, I'd just like to see my aunt more.

I hadn't been home for ten minutes when the doorbell rang. I open the door to see the one and only Canyon. If I had the choice to reject the game, I would.

"What are you doing here?" I ask.

"Spending time with you, of course. I missed you." He smiles. Once again, he invites himself in. Does he not have manners? "What are we going to do today? Do you want to stay in or go out?"

"I'm exhausted; we're staying in. I have to practice for my dance recital, anyways." I haven't practiced in a few days. I hope I remember all of it.

"What kind of dance?" He asks.

"It's a duet for the winter ball. My dance class performs this year. It's a huge deal to us, considering the dancers we usually hire couldn't perform this year." I say. I don't want Canyon to think this is a game. This is really serious and importanr to me.

"I'll help you. Run through it with me a few times. When I have the dance memorized, we can go through it at normal speed." He says. I neber took him for a dancer. I thought he was just a self-absorbed athlete. I thought wrong.

I go through the routine with him slowly a few times. We laugh a lot throughout him learning it. He's a fast learner because he caught on the first two times. By the third run through, he knew the whole routine. I turn on the music and stand in my position, standing up straight with my shoulders squared.

His arms are around my waist, moving me around the room. He spins me and my back is against his chest. My right arm is across my stomach with Canyon's following amd my left arm is in the air. My hand is doing the Indian style movements we learned in class, while Canyon's arm is softly gliding down mine. His arm reaches my waist, wrapping around me. He spins me around to face him and our bodies move with grace around the room, doing each dance movement perfectly. We are near the end of the dance and the song is almost over. Canyon twirls me out, and then back in. He does the very last move, which is dipping me. My head is tilted back and my head is looking at the window as Canyon's left arm is holdin me up and his right arm has a grasp on my left thigh. His lips are a few inches away from my neck, just like they're supposed to be. He sticks to the routine; running his right hand slowly up the rest of my thigh and upper body before reaching my face. He strokes my cheek briefly before resting his fingers on it.

Canyon clears his throat as he helps me steady myself on the ground again. The atmosphere is awkward for a moment.

"It's getting late. You should probably go." I suggest.

"You're right. I'll see you in school." Canyon says before walking out the door. I lock the door after him.

I eat and clean my dish before I emd my night. After my dinner, I walk uo the stairs to do my nightly routine.
