I wake up to rays of sunlight shooting through my window. It looks like a beautiful day, but I feel too terrible to do anything. My eyes ache every time I look at something too bright, my head is spinning, and my body is sore. This is the worst hangover I've had so far.

Instead of getting out of bed so soon, I decide to lay there for a little while. The comforters are soft and warm, and the bed feels like I'm laying on clouds. My boredom begins to grow quickly, so I reach for my phone on my nighstand. I unlock it, seeing I have a few new text messages. One is from Kylie probably checking in on me. The other is from Canyon. That's just perfect.

I knew what Kylie's mesage was going to say when I read it. I told her I was fine and I just have a horrible hangover. She didn't text back as quickly as usual, which means she's sleeping. Next, I read Canyon's.

"I have plans for us today. Hope you don't have anything on your schedule. If so, cancel them. Be ready by 12."

I groan and toss my phone at the end of my bed before forcing myself off of the little piece of heaven in my room. I walk to my bathroom and turn on the water, feeling for it to be hot enough to my comfort. When the temperature is just right, I strip all my clothes off and step in the shower. The warmth feels so good on my back. Even though I could stay in here forever, I know I can't. After I wash and condition my hair, I wash my body, then step out. I wrap a towel around my body and one around my head. As I'm walking to my room, I hear a car horn beep. I run to my room and look out my window. Not to my surprise, Canyon is already here.

I drop my towel and run to my closet. I grab the first pair of matching underwear and bra I see. I fasten my bra and pull up my panties as quickly as I possibly can. Instead of looking through my closet like I usually would when I actually have time to prepare myself, I grab the first pair of cute jeans I find. They're skinny jeans that make my waist look extra small. Even though my butt is already big, these jeans make it look firmer and a bit bigger. I grab a t-shirt off of a hanger and pull it above my head. It's a plain white V-neck top that makes my breasts look perkier than usual. Instead of wearing converse like I usually would with my skinny jeans, I just slip on my black flip flops. Deciding I was content with my outfit, I rush to my vanity table and brush my long curls. When I'm done brushing my hair, I take a quick glance in my mirror. Even though I didn't have time to style my hair or decide on a better outfit, I think I look pretty good. I've never really needed any makeup so I don't tend to wear it often.

When I walk outside, the brightness of the sun hits me like a smack to the face. Fighting the urge to go back inside, I force myself to walk to the car. When I get in the car, Canyon laughs.

"What's so funny?" I ask irritated.

"All that fun last night is really affecting you today. Your face was priceless when you walked outside." He starts laughing again, causing my irritation to grow. I extend my arm and punch him in his arm. He instantly stops laughing and pulls out of the driveway.

"Where are we going anyway?" I ask curiously.

"My house. We're going to clean up my house." My day just went from bad to worse, and I haven't been awake for two hours.

When we pull into his driveway, I realize how big his house is, minus the crowd of hormone driven teenagers. Even with plastic cups everywhere, it's beautiful with two large pillars on the front porch that support the balcony that's connected to the bedroom in the front. The house is a peach color with rose bushes in the front and a big yard that makes the house even prettier. The detailing on the front door is exquisite. This is the best house in our town. Know wonder his parties are always so packed.

"Do you need anything before we start? Maybe a snack or a drink?" Canyon asks when we enter the house.

"No, I'm fine. Let's just clean up this mess." I say, wanting to get the day over with already. "Wait, I need a pain reliever. My headache is killing me."

"I'll get you one before we start cleaning." He laughs. I don't understand how he's not hungover. He was clearly drinking last night. Maybe he just didn't drink enough to be hungover.

Canyon disappears from my sight for a short moment before coming back with a pill and a glass of water. I sit the pill on my tongue and wash it down with the water. Canyon takes the empty glass from me and takes it to the kitchen. He comes back with a handful of garbage bags and a broom.

"Let's get started." He says smiling. Why is he smiling? We're cleaning his house that is polluted with beer bottles, plastic cups, and liquor bottles. Nobody should be happy about cleaning up this disaster.

I start in the hall, stacking cups, picking up at least twenty at a time. While cleaning, I started to think. Canyon is known to be a creative guy. I can only imagine all the things he's going to make me do. My reputation is going to be ruined by the end of the deadline.

Two hours later and the house is done. All the cups and bottles are in the trash. We even washed the dishes and laundry. You would imagine his family has a maid, but they surprisingly don't. Apparently the house is always clean, except for the day after a huge party.

"Let's go get a bite to eat. I'm starving to death after all this cleaning." Canyon suggests. We leave his house and head out to an early dinner.

We pull up to this fantastic restaurant know for its sirloin steak. I've never been here before, so I don't know what I'm going to order. Canyon decides that since it's such a nice day, we should eat outside. I personally think he's doing this on purpose.

We sit in silence for a few moments before a waitress approaches our table.

"May I take your order?" She's a tall blonde with an average figure and pretty face. She looks at Canyon, batting her eyelashes. My stomach turns in knots.

"Excuse me, but could you do your job and take my order, please?" I sneer, batting my eyelashes in a mocking manner. She looks over at me, twisting her face in irritation.

"What would you like?" She asks sweetly. It may seem like she was being sweet, but it was a fake sweet tone. Clearly, she has an attitude problem.

"I would like your seasonal chicken alfredo, large iced sweet tea, and apple cobbler with the brown sugar crusting. Thank you." I mock her, trying to irritate her more. It must've worked because she rolls her eyes at me, looks to Canyon, and asks him the same.

"I'll have your sirloin steak, medium rare with extra sauces and flavoring added, a larg Pepsi with ice, and flambe with caramel drizzle. Thank you." He smiles back. I know he's flirting with her to anger me, and it's working very well.

"You know we're famous for our sirloin steak?" The waitress says, trying to flirt. She begins to twirl her hair around her finger. How original.

"Yes, we do. I'm sure you can tell that we're on a date. So, could you just take our orders to the chef and let him do his job before I have a few choice words with your manager?" I was done being nice. I'm hungry and hungover. I just want to go home and relax for the remainder of the day.

The waitress sneers at me and turns her nose up before storming off. When she's out of earshot, Canyon begins laughing.

"Someone is the jealous type." He places his menu on the table and adjusts himself in his seat.

"I'm not jealous of anything. She was flirting, and she was horrible at it." I copy Canyon's movements and cross my right leg over the left.

"I would be jealous if someone was flirting with my date, too. It's completely understandable." He smirks, causing my lips to thin into a straight line across my face.

"This isn't a date. I said that so she would back off. She's coming on too strong. Quite frankly, it's sickening to see girls fawn all over you. They act like they've never seen a good-looking boy before." I realize what I said before it's too late.

"You think I'm good looking?" He smirks cockily.

"No, you're the ugliest human being I've ever met. It's amazingly shocking that someone could be as ugly as you are." The smirk slips from his lips, while one is growing on my face.

"You're lying." He squints his eyes, giving me a death glare.

"Am I?" I counter. I can see he's thinking by the look on his face. Instead of answering, he just glares at me. I can't contain my laughter any longer. I burst out a huge laugh, leading to Canyon huffin out in annoyance.

Our food arrives soon and we introduce our mouths to our food. At the start of our meal, we ate silently with an occasional moan of delight escaping one of our mouths.

"So, Tyra. ." Canyon trails off. "Tell me some personal things I wouldn't know about you." He says, looking through his eyelashes.

"What do you mean?" I ask through bites of my food. There's lots of things he wouldn't know about me.

"Are you a virgin?" The question caught me off guard, forcing the food down my throat and making me choke a little bit. I grab my drink and basically chug it like I've been in the Sahara Desert for months with scarce water sources. Canyon laughs at my near death experience.

"Don't beat around the bush," I start out, sarcastically. "But no. I've had sex with one guy. We were together for slightly two years."

"I expected you to be Virgin Mary." He chuckles before falling silent. "What happened? You know, with you and the guy?"

"Well, at the beginning of my sophomore year, my schedule was really busy between making team captain on varsity for volleyball and keeping up with my grades. He thought I was going to replace. We initiated the arguing stage and drove each other crazy. Even through all of that, he was the only guy I had ever felt that way about. I didn't want to lose him when I need his support the most. The fighting would get so bad that we were falling apart. In less than two months, we'd managed to push each other away. He was insecure about our relationship and I couldn't handle it. I broke up with him, even though I was still in love with him." Canyon leans back in his chair. His eyes go wide and he exhales a sigh of shock.

"How did you get through it?" That was a good question. I hadn't thought about how I got through it. All I remember is keeping my focus on everything else.

"I guess I just didn't think about it. Life goes on and people progress in their life." I smile at the words of wisdom I had just spoken.

"You're a smart girl. I've never met someone with so much experience in life at such a young age." He smiles at me, making my blush and fiddle with my fingernails. "Well, I don't know about you, but I'm stuffed. Are you ready to go?"

"Yes." We stand up from our table after Canyon left money for the check. The ride back to my place was silent, letting the music fill the car.

When we arrived at my house, the sun had set. The only thing in the sky is the moon and stars.

Before I exit the car completely, Canyon speaks. "Thanks for helping me clean up today. I appreciate it a lot." He smiles.

"You're welcome. Thanks for lunch, even though I could've paid for mine." I gave an innocent smile back.

"I can't let my girl pay for her own lunch, now can I?" He winks at me. I get a disgusted look on my face that makes him chuckle.

"Good night." I say, slamming the car door closed and walking to my house. He honks his horn when I reach ny porch. I watch him drive away from my living room window.

Finally able to be alone, I decide I'm going to sleep since it already 11 pm. I change out of my t-shirt and skinny jeans into my Victoria Secret pajama shorts and tank top. I turn my TV on and climb under my blankets. As soon as I lie down and relax, my eyes flutter before darkness surrounds me.
