"We better hurry and get you home before your dad starts to worry." Ryan smiled, picking me up bridal style again.
"He's already going to kill me." I groaned, leaning my head on his shoulder.
"He'll be more worried about you. Killing you won't even cross his mind." Ryan reassured me.
The three of us crossed the road and walked towards my house. Getting closer and closer I could see my dad looking out the window. I took Ryan's phone out of his shirt pocket and checked the time. Shit. I'm half an hour late. I was actually surprised he hadn't gotten a search party out to look for me yet.
"Are you coming inside with me? To help explain?" I asked Ryan and Hailey.
"Of course we are, baby." Ryan smiled and Hailey just nodded her head.
We walked up the path and my dad answered the door before we even got to knock on it. He looked at me making his eyes widen and his mouth drop open slightly. He ran towards Ryan and took me out of his arms, engulfing me in a hug.
"Are you okay?!? What happened to you?! What happened to her?!?" He asked frantically, quickly bringing the me into the house and placing me on the couch. While he was doing this Ryan walked into the kitchen and opened the freezer, probably to get me an ice pack.
"She got in a fight with Lauren." Hailey stated, dropping all the bags into the corner and sighing a breath of relief because the weight was finally off her shoulders and arms.
"What?! The one you were talking about a year ago?!" Dad asked me.
"Yup. But you should see her. I bet her up wayyyyy more than she got me. There's nothing really even wrong with me." I laughed.
Ryan walked into the living room with the 'ice pack'. It wasn't really an ice pack because he had to put ice cubes into a plastic bag and then wrap a tea towel around it, but it would do just fine.
Dad took it off of him, and said a quick 'Thanks' before gently placing it on my forehead. I flinched because of how cold it was but I was fine after that.
"I'm going up to that bloody school in the morning and getting that girl expelled." Dad shouted, standing up and pacing the room. "No, I'm going up right now. All three of you get in the car."
"No dad please. You'll only make it worse." I groaned.
Ryan came over to me and sat down on the floor taking my hand in his.
"Yeah you should probably wait until the morning when everyone else is in class." Ryan said, gently rubbing his thumb across my hand. I looked over at Hailey and saw her looking down at her phone, her eyes nearly falling out of her head.
"Ryan look at this." She said, motioning for him to walk over to her. She handed him her phone and his mouth dropped open. "Woah." He breathed out.
"What? What is it?" Dad asking walking across the room to them and taking the phone from Ryan's hands. He restarted the video and this time the volume was up and I knew it was the fight.
"It's on Facebook already?" I asked.
"It's all over Facebook. Everyone is talking about it, even the people that weren't there." She chuckled.
"Jesus Lily. You bet the shit out of her." Dad laughed, coming over to give me a hug.
"Are you mad at me?" I asked, hoping that he wasn't.
"Of course not. I know you had problems with her and I'm glad you took care of them. Even if it was with violence." He chuckled, kissing me on the forehead. "I'm just nervous in case you have any serious injuries. She got you pretty hard in the spine. Are you sure you're okay?"
I gave him an are-you-serious? look before answering him. "I'm absolutely fine dad. I'm still here, alive and well and I'm not going anywhere for a long long time. After all you still have to walk me down the isle." I smiled, making everyone laugh.
"That was definitely directed at me." Ryan snorted, making me laugh too because he's never done that before. "I'll get you a ring in a few years. We're still only kids."
"You can't take her away from me just yet. She's still my little girl." Dad stated pulling me into another hug and giving Ryan a death glare, which made him shut up.
"I'm driving you to school and back home everyday now and I don't care what you want. You have no say in this." Dad said sternly and I laughed to myself. Oh his protective side is back again.
"Well I'll make a deal with you then. If you are driving me to school everyday, you can drive Ryan too, since Hailey already gets a lift from her mum." I smirked and he rolled his eyes.
"Fine."
"Yay thank you dad. I love you!" I said excitedly.
"I love you too, my little fighter." He replied, giving me yet another hug.
"Hey that's what I said." Ryan joked from behind my dad, watching the scene in front of him and dad smiled into my shoulder.
"Shut up Ryan."
