Be Anymore Obvious, Could You? (Alex Gaskarth Fan Fiction)

Chapter Eleven

I waited beside the hospital bed as Alex slept. I looked over at the time and he’s been sleeping for 14 hours. They had to cancel the show because of this and I haven’t slept at all. Instead the guys and Tonight Alive did a massive meet and greet and just told the fans that Alex had a medical emergency but I think they must know. Everyone was coming later in the day but I just stared at the clock and back at him. The beep in the heart monitor beeped normally so least his heart rate was good. A nurse came in and checked him before walking out and giving me a sympathetic smile but I just nodded my head at her. I would of slept but I didn’t because I would be scared in case he didn’t wake up. A doctor came in and smiled at me. “Hello…”

“Katie,” I smiled.

“Hello Katie I’m Dr Logan; Mr Gaskarth will be waking up soon and he is free to leave,” he said and I jumped up and smiled.

“Thank you Dr Logan,” I smiled.

“Well once he wakes up just press the button beside his bed and the nurse will remove him from the drips and he can get discharged. Do you know that he has anxiety?”  I shook my head and he made a noise and looked down at his clipboard. “He’s been diagnosed with this for a long time and even though your married I would’ve thought that he would of told you?” he said and but I shook my head keeping my mouth shut. “Anyway I will leave you guys too it goodbye Mrs Gaskarth.” his Australian accent said.

“Thank you Dr Logan.” I said and he walked out the room and it was filled with silence again.

A few hours later I looked at my phone texting Matt about the news and soon I felt someone grab my hand. I looked down and then looked up to see Alex smiling. I gasped and smiled hugging him gently. I pressed the button signaling for the nurse to come in. “You’re finally up,” I said.

“You haven’t been sleeping,” he stated emotionless.

“I’ve been up waiting for you to wake up,”

“You shouldn’t of-“

“But I did,” I said and he nodded his head smiling.

“Where are the guys?” he asked looking round his tiny room.

“There back at the venue; tonight we’re heading to the Gold Coast and we had to cancel the show last night but the guys made up for it,” I said and he looked down sadly. “Don’t worry next time you can make Melbourne happier than before!” I said and he smiled nodding his head.

“Have you left?” he asked.

“No but…Alex I need to talk to you-“ But before I could say anything, the nurse came in and removed him from the drips and soon we was discharge from the hospital. Everyone came to the hospital and were happy for Alex to be alive again basically and the tour buses were waiting outside so I guess we were heading to Gold Coast now.

We all got onto the tour bus and I had a shower feeling my hair greasy and I smell. I changed into my PJ’s because I haven’t slept in a whole day but I will sleep later when everybody does because it’s better. “Katie I think you should go to sleep.” Alex said but I shook my head.

‘Don’t worry I’m fine I will just sleep after you guys that’s all.” I said. The boys didn’t want to argue so they all nodded their heads. I decided to phone Amelia and I checked the time that it’s last midnight over there but I know she will be up because she has a little bit of insomnia. After two rings she answered. “What’s up chick?” I called into the phone.

“Nothing much just listening to music what about you?” she asked.

“What music? And nothing just super tired,” I said.

“Sum 41 and why are you tired isn’t it like 4pm or something over there?” she asked.

“Alex has had a panic attack and he got taken into hospital but now we’re heading to Gold Coast,” I said.

“Wow he had panic attack does he have anxiety or asthma?” she asked.

“He has anxiety and we were in the middle of having an argument and it just…happened! I hate when he doesn’t tell me things important though,” I said.

“How’s it been going between you two?” she asked.

“We kissed yesterday and-“

“Wait? You guys kissed! Are you guys like a couple or something? Are you guys like each other?-“

“No! I mean I’m not sure if I like him-“

“Dude you are lying,” I could hear the smirk in her voice.

“No I don’t-“

“You do I can tell,” she said and I sighed.

“Okay yes I do like him but I’m not sure if he likes me you see,” I sighed again. “I just wish we both had a better relationship and maybe this marriage will probably work you know?” I asked and she nodded her head because I could hear her hair move in the speaker.

“Oh well speak to me soon yeah? Bye bye”

“Bye.” I said and hung up.

Hopefully Alex likes me back but first I need to talk to him but I will find a time for that but for now we need to have a serious talk and he’s not running away from me this time.
