*Get out of my head...*
Frisk's small eyes widened. Surely she wasn't talking about- "Sans the skeleton, Frisk. Kill him. No mercy, no fun, only death." Chara's red eyes shone with an ominous aura. "And if you fail to do so..." An image of all her friends with "x"'s on each of their faces was held in front of Frisk's face. "I'll do it. In front of you. I will kill them from the inside; making them so utterly depressed and hated that they kill themselves. And it won't be a quick way, either." Her words were silky yet a cold hatred lined each letter.
Swallowing the need to cry, Frisk grabbed the picture and put in her backpack and cleared her throat. She did not give Chara and answer as Toriel walked around the corner.
"Oh goodness, my child! How did you get here on your own? Are you hurt? Here, let me heal you." And she did. Using her strong and powerful magic, she healed the human and brought her into the house. "I have a surprise for you, come." She held out her hand.
Frisk hesitated at the hand. All she could think about was previously killing her. Slowly, she grabbed Toriel's hand-paw and followed her. "Ta-da!" Toriel smiled, showing her a child's room. "Your very own room. I hope you like it. Why not take a nap? I have a surprise for you when you wake up."
Frisk nodded, walking in the room and looking around. Everything was so... Dusty. There was a new thing, however. A mirror. She looked into it and heard Chara laugh slightly. "Having fun?"
She jumped at first, holding her chest with the scare. "Leave me alone, Chara..." She mumbled.
"What's that? I can't hear you over that screaming facial expression of displeasure." She teased with a chuckle. "Lighten up, sunshine. It's only one monster. Besides, not like you haven't done it before.."
Frisk's eyes clouded with the painful memories of before. She shook her head and sobbed, exclaiming, "GET OUT!"
Hearing the shouting, Toriel would hurry into Frisk's room and see her in the corner, sobbing. "My child!" She called, rushing to aid the human. "Small one, what is wrong?" She asked, kneeling and comforting Frisk.
Frisk, looking up with tears running down her eyes, looked up. "T-Toriel... Mom..." She started and Toriel flinched at the title of mother. "I love you.." Saying this, frisk flung herself into the arms of Toriel and sobbed into her breasts.
Toriel chuckled slightly, picking up the child and bringing her into the living room wanted by a harmless magical fire. Reading snail facts and funny jokes, the both of them cheered up. Frisk ate a large piece of butterscotch-cinnamon pie and giggled at the jokes Toriel would say. The joyful time was ruined by the terrifying images of slaying her new mother and turning her to dust. The words she spoke before stilled her and made her stare into space, eyes focused on nothing.
"We can live happily here.."
"Just us two, living here in the ruins.."
"No.. The ruins are no place to raise a child.."
"But still.. We can make it work..!"
...
"I was wrong about you... You are just like the rest.."
"Frisk..?" Toriel shook the brunette child. "My child? Are you alright?"
Shaken back into reality, Frisk let out a little scream. Noticing she had been crying, her face grew blood red and she wiped the tear stains away. "S-sorry.."
"Whatever were you thinking of, Frisk?" The white lady asked.
She shook her head. "It's nothing.." Knowing she could not stay here and fix her wrong, she looked into Toriel's Crimson eyes. "Momma... Can you show me the exit to the ruins..?"
Taken back by this, Toriel stood. "I.. I-I must go do something.. Stay here." And with that, Toriel rushed downstairs, Frisk following.
"It's the same vicious cycle.." She spoke, stopping for a moment but continuing. Frisk's eyes clouded with tears as she remembered the past times she had said this, but the last time... She last time she said it the most somber..
"They fall, they leave... They die..." She continued but stopped at a large door. Frisk looked up in awe still. "He... Asgore... Will kill you.. Go to your room, sweetie."
Frisk shook her head. "I want to reason with him, Toriel." She spoke.
A small little huffed laugh was heard. "He cannot be reasoned with.. Trust me.." Looking up at the door, Toriel's eyes watered. "If you can prove to me you can fight, then I will let you go."
Frisk shook her head again. "I don't wanna fight you!" But as she said this, darkness encased the world around them. Shuddering, she realized there was a knife in her backpack. She looked at the bottom of it and it read as "Finally mine".
