Waking up, frisk felt cold. She groaned as she turned in bed... Wait, she was in a bed... "AH!" She exclaimed.
Sans rushed over, seeing frisk panting. "What's wrong?" He asked, tripping as he came over.
Frisk looked up at sans, holding her chest. She felt her head and some dried blood flaked off. "Oh, I got scared for a moment.. It's nothing."
Sans got up, looking at her strangely. "Okay.. If you say so. Just call if you need anything," he told her, walking back to wherever he was before.
Frisk sighed. She looked around, making sure he wasn't around, and she got up. She had three options; the kitchen, sans' room, or leave.
"You could do it now, frisk.. He's vulnerable," she heard Chara say. Then she saw Chara, sitting on the TV.
"Chara? Really? Get off that." She said to Chara as she walked toward Sans' room. "And be quiet, I'm trying to do something.."
She knew she only had one chance of doing something without getting caught. Sans' room had the most secrets in the kitchen and she could sneak out his window. She wiggled the doorknob and the door opened slowly. A chill was sent down her spine.
As she stepped inside, the aura was cold and made her uneasy. What's in here..? She asked herself, looking around. She felt around for a light switch and flicked it. The light came on, but flickered.
There was a treadmill in the room and on the mattress was a ball of dirty sheets. She noted the self-sustaining tornado of trash in the corner, along with some spaghetti. Frisk then saw something; a box. What was in the box..?
Walking ever so quietly toward the box, she stepped lightly. When she reached the box, shaky hands opened it up. Inside, was a key. Curious, Frisk took the key and speedily slipped it into her backpack. She felt uneasy; as if someone were watching her. Suddenly, she let out a loud scream as she turned around to see Sans, standing in the doorway. It was dark and the lights were flickering so it didn't aid her fear.
Panting, she fell to her knees and backed against the wall. "S-sans.. W-what are y-you doing..?"
Sans used his magic to pick up a screwdriver. Frisk's bicoloured eyes widened. Sans then used it to fix the flickering light. "What're you scared for?" He asked, laughing. "I try to be funny, not scary."
Frisk let out a large sigh. "Sans.. My god.. Don't do that..."
He raised a metaphorical eyebrow. "Say.. What were you doing in my room anyway?"
Frisk shrugged. "Curiosity got the better of me I guess.." Her head sunk into the oversized turtleneck sweater as she stood up.
Sans blinked. "Welp, I'm off. You should probably get going too."
Frisk tilted her head slightly. "What do you mean 'your off'?"
Sans shrugged. "I got stuff I needa do. Too complicated?" He chuckled, waving a goodbye. "Don't stay too long here, papyrus comes back around 8 after reporting to Undyne."
Frisk nodded. "Thanks..?" She said as she went down stairs and walked through the door. Suddenly, she was back where she was in Waterfall. She looked back to see a little flicker of cyan blue magic. Thanks sans.. She thought, walking ahead. Seeing the Mad Dummy, she grumbled, punching it with a brute force.
She moved forward, knowing the Mad Dummy would try to fight her. As it did, and grew crazier and crazier, Nabstablook came along, just like usual. She visited with him and the continued her journey. However, as she passed the templates with the story of the Great War in them, there was one that caught her attention. One that shone red.
She read the template aloud. "But there was a.. Prophecy. There will be an angel who has seen the surface. They will free us.." She paused at the next sentence.
"The Fused one will free us."
Frisk shuddered at the sight. Was she and Chara the "Fused One"? Was she going to have to live like this forever? She couldn't bear the thought.
Continuing on, she kept to herself. She was generally safe and left alone until she got got to the bridge where Undyne would pull Spears out from the ground.
Frisk was expecting it, but was surprised when it was delayed. She would step lightly, but got comfortable as she passed through the maze. Without warning, she was caught off guard when a spear snagged her sweater.
Now running, she tried to avoid the upcoming spears as quickly as possible. Frisk would jump from side to side, trying not to get in the way of the deadly weapons. As she neared the end of the maze, she was trapped. Oh no, I took a wrong turn! She thought, gripping her knife.
Undyne laughed a hearty laugh. "Foolish human! Falling right into my trap. Let's end this now, and we will finally be-" but she was cut off by a phone call. "Can't this wait?!" She asked in a hushed shout.
Frisk her mumbles through the phone, and she thought she recognized the sound. However, Undyne was growing ever furious, and there wouldn't be another chance for her to escape.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, THERE ISNT ANY PASTA LEFT AT THE MTT STORE?!" She roared, her fist clenched around the blue spear. Frantic mumbles were heard as Frisk tried making a break for it. Running for her life, frisk ended up reaching the place called HotLand.
Undyne, realizing this was to stall her, threw down her phone and ran after Frisk. "Get back here!" She called after the human.
Frisk didn't stop, but was caught by the arm by Undyne; a surprisingly fast fish lady. (Smells like fish. ~DDC) After dodging the spear attacks, Frisk made a break for it again, but was stopped again after a short while of running. This continued until Undyne was near the point of heat stroke.
Collapsing, Undyne panted for air. "Water.." She rasped. Frisk turned around and panted as well, sweating like a horse. But she realized Undyne was a fish and they don't sweat. Groaning, she walked over to the convenient water cooler and got a cup, pouring it onto the fish lady.
Undyne flinched as she did this, but waited for her to leave to actually move. Surprised, she walked back to waterfall, talking to Papyrus on the phone as she went.
Frisk blinked slightly, noticing sans wasn't at his usual place. She walked back, seeing a note on a napkin saying, "See you at the CORE." Frisk rolled her eyes and put the note inside her pack.
Walking along, the usual noise of HotLand was chilling to hear. She was sweating when she realized her sweater was still on. She set her bag down, taking off her sweater. She had an undershirt on, luckily. After this, she put her sweater inside her bag and put it back on her back.
She continued on, avoiding monsters if she could, being nice to them if she couldn't. Frisk avoided speaking to many of the monsters, but when she reached the lab, she knew it would be difficult.
