Sans sat there... Watching the kid. He even baked himself some insta noodles. "God this stuff is disgusting," he mumbled as he slurped. (How does a skeleton eat? ~DDC)
-Inside of Frisk's soul-
Frisk sat there, looking around at the darkness of it all. Never had she taken into consideration the darkness inside of a hurt soul. "Strange, isn't it?" She heard Chara say.
Frisk flinched, but saw Chara step into view. The tapping of her shoes echoed in the soul. "What's that, Chara?" She asked, pointing to a heart shaped thing, half white with a black outline and half black with a white outline. Red lights held it in place of what seemed to be the middle of the soul.
Chara looked to it. "That is the TRUE SOUL. It's what actually makes up your being; your SOUL. Or, in our case, our soul."
Frisk blinked. "What's that supposed to mean...?"
Chara turned as Frisk stood, studying the soul. "When you first fell down here, you fell where I fell. Your SOUL was weak, as was mine. I decided to FUSE our SOULs and when that happened, they became one. Yours, the white half, is generally in control of our body. But when you let me make my mark, I grow stronger and quickly gain control."
Frisk reached out to touch the SOUL but as her hand came near it, an immense pain shot through her body and she fell to the ground, screaming in pain.
"Don't touch it, Frisk. Learn from me," she chuckled, showing a burn on her left hand. It was now identical to frisk's. "Anyway.. This time, it's different. I was generally letting you do your own thing, but that doesn't work out as I see. Even your fear -your self hatred, everything you do, it makes me stronger. That is why I am able to take control of our body for a short amount of time."
Frisk panted, holding her hand. It was bright red, but black tentacle-like things wrapped around it for a while. "Why are you telling me this? Are you just going to take our body and kill them all again?"
Chara stood, watching the pulsing TRUE SOUL. The white took up the majority of the SOULs. After a long moment of standing, Chara spoke up. "No." She said plainly. "I am going to be nice. You may stay in control, but you must kill Sans. If you do not.. Well.. You know what will happen." She turned to look at frisk, who was still on the ground.
Getting up, the black tentacle like things left and her hand was merely scarred now. The pain was slightly throbbing, but most of it had left. "You know I'm not going to do it."
Chara turned her attention back to the SOULs. The black began taking over and inside the larger SOUL grew dimmer. "I have the capability to take over right now, frisk."
Frisk felt trapped, her chest tight. She fought Chara with her mind to try and take back the SOUL but it didn't work. Her Crystal blue eyes opened wider. "I won't let you take over."
Chuckling, the black receded and the larger SOUL grew brighter, still dark however. "I don't want control, Frisk. I don't want to kill this time. I only want one dead. Sans. Is even that too much? You mercilessly killed the rest of them easily, I don't see how this is difficult." Her red eyes glanced to Frisk, who held her chest. "You even killed Papyrus."
Tears pricked her eyes as a lump in her throat formed. Frisk held her chest as she breathed heavily. "That was you, Chara. I didn't want to kill them ALL!"
Looking back to the TRUE SOUL, she chuckled. "Finish what you start, Frisk." After a moment of silence she turned her body to Frisk. "Well, time for you to go back now. I'm done here in this dark SOUL. Time for me to follow you like a ghost," cackling, her red eyes glinted as she snapped, Frisk screaming as she opened her Crystal eyes to the underground.
Sans, having fallen asleep but startled awake, flung the insta noodles into the water around them. "I'm awake!" He shouted, seeing Frisk. Something was strange about her...
Frisk fanatically looked around. She panted heavily and sans reached to calm her down. "S-sans..?" She asked.
The short skeleton nodded. "It's me, kid, now what happened? You fell on your head."
Frisk reached felt her head with her left hand, revealing the burn scar as the overly long sleeve fell. She felt the dried blood. "Oh.. N-nothing.. I need to get moving." She sighed, trying to stand but falling into the water.
"Heh," sans huffed. "You should probably come back to the house with me. Papyrus is out, talking to Undyne."
Frisk rubbed her head, sitting up. "Okay.." She sighed. The small child had no choice but to go with him..
"It's our chance, frisk." She heard Chara say.
Frisk shook her head, the echo of a laugh lingering. "Cmon I guess.." She muttered as she stood, with the aid of Sans.
"This way, I know a shortcut." He said. As they turned a corner, suddenly they were in Snowdin. Frisk looked back to see just snow. "Cmon now, kid. Your wet, you'll freeze out here."
Frisk nodded, walking with sans again. She felt horrible. The knowledge that if she didn't comply to Chara's will made her sick. She wanted to tell sans everything, but she didn't want to hurt him more, so she kept her quiet.
The lively music of Snowdin was unsettling. Children laughing and playing, the bickering of old monsters, and the crunching of the snow beneath their feet reminded Frisk of the dead silence she had created before.
Arriving at his house, sans opened the door and as he was helping her in, Frisk fainted again. "My god, kid, your acting like your drunk." He commented, pulling her into the house and closing the door.
