As she ran, she felt nothing but emptiness. Pain surged through her body as her limbs hung loosely, running with all her might. Why was she doing this anymore? Why try? Why even - "AHH!" She screamed, falling into a familiar place. The underground.
All Frisk saw was darkness. Then something rather familiar came to view; a little black and white soul. The white, this time, was in the middle as the black surrounded it. Looking through the body they shared, she knew the other was in control.
...
Chara shook her head, rubbing it. She saw a little yellow flower and smirked. "Howdy!" It called to her.
She spat out some blood from her bloody nose she gained from falling. "Don't play dumb, Alsriel."
The little yellow flower shivered at its stem and its petals shook with fear. "H-how do you know my name..?"
Chara huffed. "That doesn't matter."
Flowey blinked. "... ch-Chara..?"
She nodded, picking herself up. Suddenly, Toriel's fire attacked Flowey and walked up to Chara. "You must be hurt, little one. Come with me," and they set off.
Frisk watched in horror as Chara killed monster after monster. She was powerless; useless. The only reason that Chara needed her half of the SOUL was because hers was weak and couldn't function alone.
As Chara trekked the ruins, she swung her knife round and round, slaying every monster in sight until...
"But nobody came..." Chara grinned. "Perfect."
Frisk sat, watching the TRUE SOUL grow darker with ever monster killed. She had the power to stop Chara... Just not the DETERMINATION. All of her DETERMINATION had been taken by Chara to keep control of the SOUL.
The sweater on the body they shared was not blue and pink, but green and yellow. Not two stripes, but one. Chara's rosy red cheeks shone as light touched it along with her glowing red eyes. "Toriel!" She called, reaching the house.
Toriel came around the corner and saw Chara. "My child! Are you hurt?" She checked. "..." Smiling awkwardly, she held Chara. "Not a scratch! I-impressive.. Come now, I have a.. Er.. Surprise!"
Chara smiled deviously. "Really?" She asked, walking with Toriel. She saw Frisk standing in the doorway and her eyes glinted as she passed the "ghost". "I can't wait to see it!" Chara kept the act up.
As they entered the house, Toriel revealed a slice of Snail Pie. Frisk snickered in Chara's head, "at least I got butterscotch pie." Chara rolled her eyes and smiled at the pie.
"Wow! Thanks!" She grinned, her messy hair mostly covering her eyes.
Toriel looked down curiously at Chara. "I swear I have met you before... D-do you like.. Playing with.. Sharp things..?"
Chara blinked and shook her head slowly. Frisk was standing in the background and was looking down. "N-no...? Why would you ask such a thing?"
Toriel laughed awkwardly "you are right, that is a strange thing to ask a young one. Anyway, i have another surprise for you."
Chara smiled, "do I get to stay with you?!" She asked and Toriel's eyes slightly widened.
"Y-yes.. The surprise w-was a bedroom.." She smiled awkwardly. "I.. Guess you can go check it out whenever you're ready." Walking off to the living room, Toriel sat and began to read a book.
Chara went into her room and slept for a little while. She knew she would have to rest if she were going to finish a genocide run in but a day or so. Upon awaking, she went into the living room and asked for a way to get out of the ruins. Of course, Toriel ran Downstairs and threatened to destroy the only exit.
As they fought, Chara acted as if she wanted to spare Toriel. As she finished the long speech that made Chara cringe every time, she took the knife she could conjure and slashed the goat-like mother figure.
The only words that escaped her maw were "d-do you r-really hate m-me.. that.. much...?"
A gust of wind as the door opened blew the large pile of dust. "Finally.." She said under her breath. "I will be able to do everything as planned; no interruptions."
Walking forward into the snowy land, she jumped at the sudden figure behind her. Seeing the large stick in the middle of the path had broken, she smirked. Chara knew what would come next.
Frisk shuddered as her ghost like figure appeared near the bars where she first met her skeleton friend. Darkness shrouded the tense snowy woods as Chara reached the bars. Chara's red eyes glinted as she was stopped.
"H U M A N."
Chara grinned, turning her head around. The skeleton seemed to recognize the icy glare that she gave and stepped back.
"D E M O N."
Smirking, Chara lashed around with a knife in hand and cut Sans' SOUL in half. Taking half, her colour turned from slight grey to full and bright; yet dim with murderous intentions.
Frisk cried out for sans to run, but only Chara could hear the pleas. As sans recovered from such a mighty blow that would not turn him to dust, but instead take half his SOUL and leave him powerless.
Chara laughed maniacally, gripping the soul. "I'll be keeping that," she said in a distorted voice, grabbing a heart shaped locket and putting the SOUL fraction in there. All sans could do was pant, holding where his heart would be if he were human.
He looked up, his vision blurry. The skeleton saw Chara walking away. He had to warn papyrus. Pulling up his hood, the fluff lined his skull. Now filled with the DETERMINATION to save his brother from such a foul beast, he pulled himself to stand and he tried taking a shortcut, but his magic faltered and would have killed him if he went through it. So instead, he went the long way. His bones were too tired to run, so he hoped a walk would be sufficient.
