The trickling of the water soothed Asgore. He whistled, waiting for the menace that was slaying his kingdom to arrive. The flowers bounced as the fake rain landed upon their petals and a shaky flower spoke quickly to him. "Clam down, little flower." He said in his deep, calming voice. "Speak slower."
"I can't! She'll be here any second and I don't want you to-" but he was struck with fear as he heard a little giggle along with the slow tapping of shoes down in a hallway behind them. "Sh-sh-she's here..."
Asgore tilted his head, grabbing his weapon and sticking it in his cloak. "Little flower, run along now." He smiled softly as the slow tapping got louder.
Running the knife she held along the side of the hall, Chara giggled slightly. She followed the whistling tune as she walked. Suddenly, Chara stopped.
"So.." A deep voice that came from a large shadow cut through the silence. "You are the one slaying monster after monster; ultimately destroying my kingdom."
"Do you not know your own child, Asgore?" She spoke up, her knife glimmering in the fake sunlight that shone through windows of the hall.
Tears were jerked to his eyes. "Chara.." He muttered. "Why are you doing this?" His back was turned to the child.
"That doesn't matter, Asgore. I need a favor.." Her eyes were covered by her messy bangs, her red eyes closed.
He sighed. "What is it." Asgore would ask this, but he knew he didn't have a choice.
"You know that annoying skeleton comedian? Sans the Skeleton?" She added air quotes around his name.
Suddenly, a cold draft took Chara's hair from her eyes as she looked up with them shining brightly with hate.
"K I L L H I M."
~Meanwhile~
Sans ran with Frisk and as they arrived at the Judgement Hall, he felt a shiver run down his spine. "Frisk," he said quietly. "Get behind me."
The large beast sighed. "Forgive me, sans..." He muttered and pulled out his large weapon.
The stubby skeleton held his hand out to protect Frisk, but noticed fireballs come out to attack him. Shoving the kid across the hall, he dodged the magical fire. "Asgore! You don't have to do this,"
Frisk landed with a thud. She looked back with pleading eyes as she watched Sans dodge attack after attack from Asgore. He would occasionally throw a bone or two, but his magic was weak. She looked around worriedly and let out a scared scream; but it was muffled by a "tentacle" of darkness.
The darkness wrapped around her and formed somewhat of a cocoon. Her Crystal eyes looked around and whimpered in fear. She heard a familiar laugh and shivered.
"What's so scary, Frisk?" A sly voice would ask, fear swirling in Frisk's stomach. "Certainly not me, is it?" Chara's devilish smile chilled her.
Frisk struggled but the grip on her tightened. "What are going to do to me.." She asked through a clenched jaw. "Kill me? Take my body?"
Chara laughed and nose to nose with Frisk. "Far from that, dear Frisk." Her red eyes glinted with a certain sense of insanity. "I am here to take the rest of my SOUL and fuse it with sans's half." Holding up the locket that shone cyan, she howled with laughter. "Then I am going to take your SOUL away from your body and create something that not even the great W.D Gaster could create..."
Frisk shuddered. What was Chara going to do to her? What would she make her do? "I won't let you take what portion of my SOUL I have left in my body!" She hissed, spitting at Chara.
Wiping off the spit, the girl released Frisk. "Run."
"W-what..?" She asked, falling to her knees.
Chara picked up Frisk and snarled, "run."
Frisk, without wasting a second, ran. Her legs carried her to an unknown location, as the darkness hid any way for her to see. An echoing laugh made Frisk trip over her feet. She scrambled back up, running for her life.
Sharp things erupted from the ground and frisk jumped to the side, but she was caught by another sharp thing and they grabbed her, holding her down. "Sans!!" She cried out. "Sans! Toriel! Flowey! Somebody, anybody!" Tears streamed down her face as the darkness engulfed her.
Suddenly, an explosion of light came from far away. Chara growled and tried shutting the hole in her ball of darkness, but another beam just broke the hole again. A deep voice cried out for Frisk, and she gasped for air as she was released. A fight broke out between the short skeleton and the corrupted human. Sans was clearly losing.
She stumbled around and saw a glimmer of light reflect off of Chara's knife as she fought with the darkness against Sans. Frisk's eyes widened as an idea evolved in her mind. She looked up, tears stained her cheeks. She was such a crybaby.. Just like Sans said, "sometimes being a crybaby is okay. Just as long as you tough it through the difficult times. Maybe those tears of yours will carry you over the broken bridge, or maybe they'll just hinder you. Dunno, kid." Frisk smiled as she remembered what he had told her a few timelines ago.
As they fought, Sans was visibly tired. However, Asgore was aiding him and even Flowey was protecting him. Together, they seemed to best Chara, but the devil child was not done yet. Sans shot his blasters off at Chara and without trying she could dodge them. "You honestly expect to watch me die just like that?" She cackled. "Just like papyrus?"
Sans shouted so loud it rumbled the cloud of darkness that they stood upon as he sent bones and Asgore shot fireballs of deadly magic at the child. "If he could see what you're doing now he wouldn't have believed in you!" He growled as vines shit up from the earth and blocked darkness from harming Sans.
Chara laughed, avoiding all the attacks. Sans was now out of magic and was just trying to get Frisk back by this point, and by any means. "Silly Comedian." The child said, chucking. "I do not care about him. I do not care about you. I just want you dead. And now that I have half your soul, I just need frisk."
Frisk shuffled quietly to the knife as hey continued fighting. She grabbed the knife, and was very careful to not make noise. As they argued back and forth, the girl let out a loud screech of pain as she impaled herself with the knife. "Sans!" She called out. "When I die.." Blood ran from her wound. "Take my SOUL! Don't let Chara take it!"
